Monday, August 1, 2005 at 5:39 PM Edited Monday, August 1, 2005 at 5:40 PM It's working fine for me, at least as of a minute ago. A few suggestions... 1) Is it possible that your IP address changed? I know mine stopped working when I lost my internet connection for a few minutes, and my IP address changed because it's dynamically assigned by my ISP. 2) Are you behind a router? It's possible that if you disconnected from your router, then reconnected, the router assigned you a different internal IP address. At least with my router, I can forward ports, but must specify which internal IP address to forward them to. An easy way to check is to look at the status of your ethernet connection, then check against your IP forwarding rules in your router setup. If this is the case, you might be able to set up a static IP address for your computer (I'll explain this more later if this applies). 3) Did you recently upgrade to XP service pack two or something? I'm not sure how the firewall changes with the upgrade, but it's possible that you might have to re-set it to forward the port you chose for DC++. That's all I can think of right now... I'm assuming you're running windows, possibly XP, and a normal version of dc++ or possibly bcdc++. Edit: Use the address, loveline.redirectme.net, farty. —no! cannot have! |
