Monday, August 1, 2005 at 3:36 PM Edited Monday, August 1, 2005 at 3:44 PM Who thinks that Pennywise on the show is going to be a disapointment? I mean, after the fiasco that happend the... last time? (I started listening in 2002) I hope everyone isn't hoping for something like that to happen again. Don't get me wrong, it would be cool, but I get a feeling it'll be a let down. ::EDIT:: I just thought that maybe I heard Adam wrong, Pennywise is coming on the show, right? —Jon_Favreau |

Monday, August 1, 2005 at 4:32 PM Edited Monday, August 1, 2005 at 4:33 PM pennywise was on first, in... 97 or something, and that was when fletcher.. fletched all over the studio. Then they were on in 7/99. They had to end the show a few minutes early, because fletcher said he had a bomb. Then if i remember correctly, fletcher was there for the lotf? show.Nothing happened... I didn't tune in for FTA, as it was on the night before my senior year in hs, and i wanted to sleep. —pennywise |

Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at 9:17 AM I suspect that the show will be mild, and "calm" but I won't be disappointed. That's like going to a car race and being disappointed if you don't see a crash. Don't hope for a crash enjoy the show. I'm trying to work on my Adam like anecdotes. Not too great yet, but "if at first you don't succeed, try, try again". —Robin |

Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at 12:03 AM wow. if any of you could actually hear, you might realize, pennywise sounds NOTHING like Bad Religion. Pennywise is all about fast non stop guitars and gruff semi yelling non singing lyrics. Bad Religion sing a lot more, have generally slower songs, and are more musically enhanced. that didnt make any sense, but hey —Stryker311 |

When I heard my first Pennywise CD (About Time or Straight Ahead, who can remember?) I thought "wow, these guys really sound like BR." By the time I read this post, I was thinking it was weird that I thought they sounded so similar. But now that I'm listening to their new CD, I definitely hear the resemblance. Anyone who claims Pennywise wasn't heavily influenced by BR's sound is insane. —chix0r |
