Friday, June 10, 2005 at 7:43 AM Edited Friday, June 10, 2005 at 7:52 AM WOW! I was missed? AWESOME!! I went to Virginia to visit my family, I've actually been back since Sunday night but just haven't had much extra time on my hands, can't seem to get caught up on anything. That's so cool that I was missed--makes me feel special, and I don't mean in the "short bus" kind of way! And, by the way, I got bit by a camel... —catloaf |

Friday, June 10, 2005 at 8:34 AM Ok, ok, let go of my arm... Since you insist...;) My brothers, sisters-in-law, my kids and I went to the Natural Bridge Zoo while I was in Virginia. There's a huge petting zoo there, and I was feeding one of the camels. I guess maybe I wasn't holding my hand the right way or something, but next thing I knew, my hand was in the camel's mouth and I couldn't get it out! I could feel my bones crunching around and all I could think was, "MY CAREER! MY CAREER!" I really thought my hand had been broken in a bazillion places. When I finally pulled it out, my hand was all swollen and bruised on top and bottom, but there was only one spot where the skin was broken. That was a week and a half ago, and I'm still very sore, although the swelling has gone down and the bruising is gone. My mom said she believes the bone itself was bruised and that it's probably going to hurt for months... Yay... Stupid camel (and stupid catloaf). —catloaf |
