Seattle -- Adam Carolla Fans - documentary film

I'm learning how to make documentary films, and I would love to interview some Adam fans in the Seattle area for a project. It's a little student film about his fans, his Loveline persona, and his stories.

These are some of my questions: What is it about Adam that makes people say "you are a god"? Does anybody actually have Adam's name on their shoe?

I listen to Loveline most nights. He always says "our callers are so stupid," but a physics teacher in New England listens, as well as a lawyer, and a Seattle-area millionaire. I'm a 40-year-old chick, so I'm out of the demographic. But I'm sure there are lots of stupid listeners as well. I'll take all comers.

Tell me your favorite Adam stories. Explain to me how Adam is both a sexist Neanderthal, and also a married guy who's trying to have a kid (and will probably be a terrific dad). Did you ever notice how he can be downright caring to a caller, while also insulting them and hanging up on them - all at the same time? There are many Adams in our Adam. Don't get me started on his rants.

If enough people are interested, maybe we could have an Adam Carolla meetup - it'd be good for the documentary. It's all in the spirit of fun. Let's let it rip for the Ace Man. He has no idea how many people love him.

I can be contacted at cigliana@yahoo.com.

I'm not in the Seattle area, but this sounds like a very good idea for a film - I would love to see the finished product. It isn't often that people sit down and analyze their admiration for Adam, Drew, or the show, but it can be fun and insightful to do. I wish you good luck in finding people.

I don't think that Adam ever says that LL LISTENERS are dumb - just the CALLERS. There's a difference. I think he made a point about that distinction once.

Well, he quite often just says the listeners are stupid, but he did point out that when he says that he means the callers, not people like Tom Burbine and the like. There are the people who listen for Adam and Drew, and to laugh at the stupid callers, then there are the callers who listen because they say "vagina". That's a very big distinction.

Also, the people who say Adam is a god probably say that because he is on the air saying the things we all think. When I first started listening I was amazed at just how much I agree with pretty much everything Adam says-pretty much everything.

Ummm, I would be one of the resident Seattlites. I think the "you are a god" comments come about because Adam is both charismatic and comedic. Some people have one or the other, and people do like that, but having both together is something that I've noticed really sets a person up higher than other people. Not even like that's what they're trying to do; it's really more just how other people react to it. People really look up to someone that's confident, loud, and humorous.

As for the writing on the shoe, well, not me. (I'd be more likely to write Drew's name on my shoes, actually. heh.) If anyone else has his name on their shoes, I don't know them, but I guess some people do it... I don't really know.
