I can't find any Joe Rogan show apart from the 2001 show, premiering Fear Factor, there was another show where Joe Rogan answered a caller who said what would happen if asomeone seriously hurt themselves, Joe was also talking about the callers not bering very perky...

It's not in the hub at all, for over a week, I can't find any record of it, does anyone have this show and if so, has it got a title that doesn't have Joe's name in it or anything?!... thanks!... It has to come after mid 2001!...

I recently listened to the 06/10/2001 show and Tara is one of the best crazy callers ever. She is responsible for the gems "I drink algwahol!" and "Why you act so stupid like that?!"

By the way, I think Joe Rogan is a good guest but in some ways he's too much like Adam. He's even more combative with religious people than Adam is. In my book, the Fear Factor gig is canceled out by his UFC commentating because you can tell he has a passion for the latter. Also, if you haven't seen it, the downloadable Joe Show is pretty amusing. It's like encounters with Loveline callers caught on video (and episode 4 is awesome.)

Rogan is a moron (or a mormon). He deserves a long time in hell for Fear Factor.

I like Joe Rogan, and that isn't only because he has a great body. He knows that Fear Factor is a ridiculous show, but obviously he's not going to turn down a show that pays him a lot of money. He's hilarious too. Plus, he was on News Radio.

At best that makes him a sellout.

A sell out is someone who gets paid a lot to do a lot of things that he is not normally associated with. I guess that would put Rogan in that category, BUT, he probably did not have much money before and this was a great way to make some quick money and help get his name out there so he can make more in his standup too. To me, that just sounds smart. Why does sell out have to have such a negative connotation?

Acting is a business. To a certain extent people are doing whatever they can to make money. I don't think it can be called selling out if you never claimed to have any strong belief against whatever it is you are "buying into." If Joe Rogan had spent years railing against the lowest common denominator nature of reality shows like Fear Factor then yes, it would have been selling out to host such a show. But he's just a comic trying to make some cash.
People who are always labeling celebrities sell outs get on my nerves.

Sorry, the LLDB was down at the time I posted, and currently is now also, thanks though... any reason why that only one show would only be in the hub or is it just by chance that no one has it when I'm on?...

Well, considering I saw this thread and downloaded the show last night without a problem, I would say that the show is on the hub. I'm now also sharing it on the hub, so a search for "Joe Rogan" should pull it up (I'll be on the hub all day and all night unless my internet goes out). If you're still having trouble getting it, just post again and I'll try to host the file.

Thanks for your help, I searched again and one came up "Loveline - 20020128 CF-IC - Joe Rogan.mp3" that I hadn't seen before, I'm downloading it in a second or so... I think it's the times I'm online that's making me miss it, thanks for your help!...

Fair enough, but under that criteria him railing against other comics (Dennis Leary/Robin Williams) for being unoriginal and then taking the very original step of taking over The Man Show after Adam and Jimmy left falls into the sellout category or the hyporcite one. Look, I could care less about the guy and maybe the sellout label is overused, but so is the genius one.

Who called him a genius?

Maybe he took over the Man Show because he thought that he could change it to make it more appealing or something. I don't know. I just like him.

Nothing wrong with liking him--someone can be talented and be a hypocrite/dork/sellout at the same time. Bill Cosby is/used to be a great comic but he's a big asshole and a bigger hypocrite. I've listened to Rogan's comedy and I see talent there, but his comedy doesn't do it for me. It's the same thing with Robert Schimmel--I get why people like him I just don't.

Who called him a genius?

I paraphrased:

Rogan is a brilliant comedian.

Rogan’s comedy is at least rated R maybe NC17, so it isn’t surprising that it wasn’t well suited for TV. If you catch some of his stand up, I think you’ll find it funny. He did a bit on Marshal family (the old dude who married Anna Nicole Smith) that was awesome, but that was along time ago.

I don’t know how to define “sell out,” but I don’t think making money should be the criteria used. No one would think Adam gave two shits if Burger King sold a burger off of their dollar menu, so…

I like Rogan because he’s actually a bad ass (has a black belt in some striking discipline and does some grappling) who has a good attitude about fighting. In some interview I read back when, he said that he didn’t have time to beat up everyone who wished to heckle him; he just blows them off. That’s refreshing.

I think Carolla has a similar mind set (we all know he has, at least, basic if not good boxing skills, and we don’t hear about him getting into scrapes).

BTW, I hate Fear Factor; I just change the channel.

oh and by the way joe has mentioned many times that he thought the man show sucked when he was on it and apologized for it. i also found out that eddie bravo, one of the best jiu jitsu guys on the planet (and seen in most of the videos on joe's site), was a writer for the show. kind of weird...

That's what I'm talking about. I was telling my Canadian friend why women don't rule the world. She is the nicest person I know, would never stab anyone in the back, and gives everyone the benefit of the doubt. Even SHE gets sick of the way women don't stick together.
And I'm pretty sure shiner was kidding.

I think we just do it out of habit and sometimes don't even realize that we are. I was at my friend's house the other day and we were talking about our other friend and saying how she never likes anything and always complains and how we are annoyed by her. However, this was the first time that we had ever said anything about that to anyone. It just kind of came out, like it was nature or something.
