Saturday, June 4, 2005 at 2:13 PM Edited Saturday, June 4, 2005 at 2:16 PM click here I found the tone in the article a little disconcerting, like Drew was some kind of potty-mouth pervert. Best quote: Asked what will be different about his TV show vs. his radio show, Pinsky smiles and says, "Well, there's no Adam Carolla now, thank God." —metatext |

Saturday, June 4, 2005 at 2:25 PM Edited Saturday, June 4, 2005 at 2:38 PM That's an interesting look at Drew's new show. . . but damn does the writing in the article BLOW! It's all gimmicky and manic and *ugh*. ETA: Make up your mind, William Booth: Are you using YM/Maxim writing b/c you think that's what the kids are used to, or mocking it in some sort of extended pointless condescending joke? —shakrat |

Saturday, June 4, 2005 at 2:32 PM Edited Saturday, June 4, 2005 at 2:34 PM If you are of the preteen female persuasion, you may recognize the doc from his 2004 role (playing himself) in "New York Minute," the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen vanity flick. Wait a second, playing himself? I thought he was just "the dad". Is this an error on the author's part, or was he actually supposed to be an alternate Dr. Drew with twin daughters? EDIT: Oh, and "Strictly Sex" is taping on a recent Saturday afternoon before a live studio audience, a hundred chair-warmers wrangled into the Burbank sound stage. Ha ha, I hope he points out to Adam that it was taped in Rapebank. —Dark Laith |

And why bring up that the TV show was cancelled? Hasn't it been over for at least 5 years? And since the article was in the Post, there should have been some mention of the show's travails in the DC market. —metatext |

Personally I think yours is more realistic (and funnier besides), since yours looks to be cut out from a photograph. (I just used the paintbrush for mine.) —Dark Laith |

Saturday, June 4, 2005 at 7:38 PM Edited Saturday, June 4, 2005 at 7:38 PM Yeah, the two pictures show Drew in very different lights. The first in a tough cop way, like Chuck Norris. You can picture Drew breaking down the door at a bar, badge attached to belt, yelling "Freeze!", then chasing someone out the back door. The second makes me think of Drew as an Arab terrorist. Possibly the guy being chased by Officer Drew. —mikeyfish |

Sunday, June 5, 2005 at 3:01 PM Edited Sunday, June 5, 2005 at 3:01 PM That one's a little harder. Drew's chin is shaped differently than Spock's there, since Drew is smiling and Spock is not (speaking of which, I'm certainly no Star Trek fan, so I guess I wouldn't know, but since when did Spock have a beard?) so shaping that exact beard to Drew's chin is difficult. But I tried anyway... —Dark Laith |
