Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 7:48 PM $25 is insane. Dish Network here in West Covina CA wants 14 bucks for Discovery Health. You're talking to the guy that got Drew's book for $0.99 off ebay. —junior college dropout |

Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 11:54 PM If I had digital cable I would have watched Drew's show, but what is the deal with him begging people to watch, nay, asking people to not watch, but just turn their TV on to the show. Does he think every Loveline listener is a Nielsen family? He has really low self-esteem and I should know because I have it too. But, unlike me, who really is pathetic and has no life, he has no reason, he has a nice family, he's a successful doctor and a well-known and respected celebrity with a national TV and radio show who has also written several books. Finally tonight, near the end of the show he mentioned that maybe people will actually learn something, but for the last 3 or 4 nights he has just shamelessly begged people to watch. He should be in treatment. —TonyInPortland |

Thursday, June 9, 2005 at 2:45 PM I didn't see it, but my friend did. She has never heard LL, nor does she know who Dr. Drew is (even though I have tried to get her to read "Cracked"). Her impression was that Drew came off like a Dr. Phil wannabe. It's ironic that she made that comparison, given how much Drew despises "Dr." Phil. —pookie |

Thursday, June 9, 2005 at 6:52 PM "Strictly Sex" kind of sucked. Drew always tries to insert his points into conversations when he's talking to legitimate experts even if what he says is basically a just a paraphrase of what they've said.(By the way, that blonde sex therapist doing all the hand waving must be nuts in bed.) Also, someone needs to gay-down Drew's wardrobe. I remember Diane Farr remarked (on the LL TV show) that in terms of appearance only, Drew looks gay. It's very misleading for a man of extreme passion towards women. —Mahalo |

Thursday, June 9, 2005 at 10:24 PM Edited Thursday, June 9, 2005 at 10:24 PM My only problem with it was that they were profiling ppl who Drew would probably make fun of or totally dismiss on loveline. That older woman who was using that testosterone patch was talking like some hippy lovechild with her former intense orgasm/sex every day life style, and now she's reborn with the patch. If Drew wants this show to be really cutting edge, he'd let it get as serious as loveline can get when discussing abuse/family history issues. Getting in depth about these things is what he always says TV lacks. Who knows if that kind of programming would last though.. —Apathys Last Kiss |

You're right that he should be in treatment, but he has a therapist so he's pretty much in treatment, isn't he? I do think the begging people to watch the show is a little excessive, but still. If Drew wants this show to be really cutting edge, he'd let it get as serious as loveline can get when discussing abuse/family history issues.
