Saturday, June 4, 2005 at 12:23 AM Edited Saturday, June 4, 2005 at 12:26 AM It'll be on a one day delay if it airs from 11:00 to 1:00. Good to know it's back on. But WCKG? Isn't that station classic rock? Interesting, apparently they no longer play classic rock. And from now on, Stern and Loveline will share the same station in Chicago. —clodhopper |

Monday, June 6, 2005 at 1:53 PM Check this out; when Q101 dropped LL I sent an email to WCKG programming that LL would be a good fit at night and they could drop O'reilly "boring bit". I'd like to think I helped, but I'm sure it didn't hurt. YEA! —RATDO99 |

Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at 1:00 PM I am conservative, and at least registered as a Republican(but I'm not really), and I can't stand O'reilly. Even before all his S happened. I've always thought he's a blowhard. Good riddance to him, Mo' power to Loveline(s). Justice at last! —oh-for |

Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at 1:44 PM Yeah, not too many of us union member Republicans. Unions breed mediocrity, everyone doing the same amount of work for the same pay. No incentive to excel. I wasn't always this way, when I was young(and carefree) I was much more liberal. Don't get me wrong, I don't have much faith in the current administration. But I know things are better for the USA with them then they would be with Hillary. —oh-for |

Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at 5:52 PM Thanks, Doosh, but I think that was at the top of the thread, anyway what kind of lead-in is that? I can see it now, an ultra conservative listening to BO and then leaves the radio on and hears too funny. I just hope enough of us listen and it gets decent ratings for WCKG—RATDO99 |

Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 9:36 AM The tall guy from Mass. is dumber than the dummy in the White House. Been watching too much Fox news again? Just watch ten minutes of any of the three debates, or for that matter just watch Bush speak for two minutes and you can see different. I imagine Bush is not actually as dumb as he sounds, that would be mind boggling, but Kerry is brighter than a short sound-bite makes him sound. It is not a matter of partisanship it is a matter of being honest. Bush is not really president anyway, he is just a figurehead, like Reagan was, doing what he is told. We need a "real" president, like the one on The West Wing. I know, that makes no sense, but we need someone like Martin Sheen's character, someone who is hands-on, someone who would actually shape policy himself (or herself), not just memorize a few phrases and be able to read a teleprompter. —TonyInPortland |

Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 1:00 PM Just because someone is a good public speaker, does not mean they are smart. (nor does it mean they are stupid) it just means they are good on stage/on camera. Then take into account accents. Kerry wins the which accent sounds smarter, proper 'north' versus folksie 'Texan'. Actors are good public speakers, they do not freeze up in front of crowds or cameras. This does not make them smart. I do wish that politicians actually wrote their own speeches and published their own words...but those days are long past. Politics is image. Bush comes off as a stupid hick, Kerry comes off as a stuck up, spoiled, rich and superior. From afar I can only say that it would have been much more interesting to have seen Bush square off with Dean (but he comes off as superior at times, and gets too taken up in the moment), or Clark. If wooden politicians with superiority complexes won elections...then Gore would have won the election. Oh shit, did I say that? Why they went with Kerry the second time around is beyond me. They would have been better rerunning the original. If he wasn't such a total wingnut/loon...it would have been fun to see him take on Sharpton. —Laxdude |

Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 4:19 PM Dean was always my favorite. I didn't think Kerry would be so bad until a few months into his campaign. He just went about it all the wrong way. I would have liked to see more debates with Kerry and Sharpton because Sharpton is an excellent speaker as well and I like how he makes all the white people uncomfortable when he calls them racist and accuses them of not hiring enough black people. —mandeemoo22 |

Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 5:49 PM Pretty interesting. Yeah Mandee, I read that article in my local paper about 5 minutes after I almost posted how Kerry's grades MUST have been much higher than Bush's in college. Glad I held off on that part of the post. A little surprising they were that close, and at the same school. Of course it doesn't take into account what courses they took. But Bush wins easily in the best haircut contest from those pictures, wow. I liked Dean as well. He got a raw deal from the media. —TonyInPortland |
