They were doing the Discovery Channel UP-Front. That's when TV networks preview their upcoming shows for advertisres and the stars of teh shows usually make an appearance to schmooze.

As I mentioned in a thread I started earlier today, Adam apparently will be having a home improvement show on TLC.
