I'm skipping school today TRA LA LA LA!

This is really random and off topic, but I just had to share how awesome my mom is. This is basically our conversation this morning:

Mom: (coming into my room at about 7:30) Are you planning on getting up?
Mandee: I guess.
Mom: Well, let's move. (Leaves the room and comes back at about 8:00) I thought you said
you were getting up. You're already really late.
Mandee: I am getting up, just not yet.
Mom: You have to get up now, Mandee.
Mandee: I can't. I'm too tired.
Mom: We're all tired.
Mandee: I want to stay home.
Mom: So do I.
Mandee: Well, let's both stay home then.
Mom: No, I have to go to work and you have to go to school.
Mandee: Please let me stay home. I have only had one day off since I got accepted to college. Plus, I have to read Hamlet and it's due tomorrow and if I go to school, I'll never finish.
Mom: Do you really think its good for you to be skipping school so close to the AP tests?
Mandee: Yes.
Mom: Alright, go back to sleep.
Mandee: Thanks ma!

So, I slept until 12pm!!! I feel like dancing now. I *do* have to read Hamlet though. I can't believe my mom caved so easily and she didn't give me any chores that I have to do. I know no one cares and I am sorry for wasting space, but I just needed to share.

Okay, so Adam was slightly off. Women can only rally when it involves NOT going to work/school.

EDIT: Okay, that was mean. But you have to admit it's interesting to think about.

I guess it is interesting, even though I highly disagree. In school, it is usually the girls who dominate the debates. Although, I don't think my mom could fight her boss and not show up to work without telling anyone. So, she had to go, but I'm chillin at home :-)

I have an A or A- Hamlet paper for sale. About 6 pages in length--talks about the ghost a lot. It can be yours for....George Pelecanos' new book.

I would, but I have to do close reading notes and do 13 essay questions, so I don't know if that would help.

Mandee: Yes.

I did that a bunch of times my senior year. :)

We read hamlet my junior year, boring stuff, but way better than Macbeth. My teacher was a flake so we pretty much watched most of the movie instead of reading, the more recent one with julia stiles. Also we had to watch lord of the flies, which I am convinced is michael jacksons favorite movie.

We read Lord of the Flies in 9th grade and then we had to pretend that we were movie producers and cast the movie. I always felt that Drew Carey would make a good Piggy. Hamlet is the first book for school that I've actually read in a really long time. I usually just rely on Sparknotes. God bless Sparknotes!

We read Halmet in AP English my senior year. But, the play I remember reading most was A Doll House. At the time, all the kids in my class (including me) but one thought it was good that she left.

After some years of listening to loveline, I think they should have tried to work it out for the kids.

"Mom: Do you really think its good for you to be skipping school so close to the AP tests?
Mandee: Yes."

I went to one of my IB tests drunk. I believe it was history, and I included something about the mail order bride industry in Asia. Then I finished the test and fell asleep at the table.

The only Shakespeare that I liked in high school was The Tempest. Othello wasn't so bad either.

I'm shocked no one mentioned this earlier, Mandee, but... If your mom has male boss, all she has to do is call in and say "cramps" and day off work, no questions asked.

If said boss is female, well, nvm, cause it will turn into "omg girl, I was up all night with them, too! Aren't they horrible! So see ya around 8 ish? M'kay."

Oddly enough, studies prove that women who are in a close-in relationship with other women i.e, in a work enviornment adapt each others cycles, and they all fall into sync with one another after so long... WTF is THAT all about? Could it relate to how Adam and Drew can piss together during breaks?

Jar_con, my DAD was talking about that "females who work/live together fall in sync w/ their periods" thing the other day. My mom said lived in a house with 3 roommates for 2 years in college and none of them were in sync. so THERE!!!

I highly doubt that would work. Her boss has no sympathy. He is one of the richest people in Maryland and one time when my mom was doing a bike race for leukemia and lymphoma and she was raising money, he would only give her $100 and he was even hesitant about doing that. Even if it would work, my mom would NEVER call in and say that. She freaks out when I say the word vomit when other people are around.

This is my argument as to why the assumption that, if women were completely in charge of society we'd have no war, is wrong. If, say, Congress was entirely female, eventually their periods would all synchronize, and then we'd be declaring war once every month.

High school is merely a social engineering project. This is why I chose to sleep, and wake only long enough to take tests I passed by learning the subject on the ... internet - rather than a droning, system engaging teacher (read: THE MAN).

I recently had a discussion with a friend who is the manager of an engineering firm. She talked about this, how all the women at her office got their cycles in sync, and it made for hell when projects were due at "that time of month". Hmm, never heard of such a thing, but it was interesting. Please discuss.

BTW, if this holds true can males legally quarantine the women at school/work during this time? Damned if I want to be within a 3 mile radius with that shit going on. Some bitch is getting a stapler lodged in her vagina.

Drew, Please

That'll happen.

Why do uppity bitches want to learn math anyways? If one of my bitches ever tired to learn math, I'd be like "BITCH, STOP TAKING DERVATIVES AND MAKE ME SOME CAKE!! AND INTEGRATE IN A LITTLE ORAL SEX WHILE YOU'RE AT IT. I'LL LET YOU SLATHER THE BATTER ON MY DICK AND SUCK IT OFF! THAT'S RIGHT, I SAD CAKE NOT PIE! YEAH, NOT LIKE THAT CONSTANT YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO KNOW SHIT ABOUT! AND IF YOU EVER MENTION 'E' INFRONT OF ME, YOU BETTER BE TALKING ABOUT DRUGS!!"

Then I'd slap her around a little bit and rape her in the back of my Camaro so she can make some little girls for me to molest when they start growing boobs, listen to a little Rush Limbaugh, and drink some Mad Dog.

There would be two reasons for that? Okay.
1. boys are physically stronger, so they can be lazier. Girls have to rely on sweet talking, diplomacy and lies to outmanoeuver the boys. This is less true in early childhood but that's when neither gender are doing much talking, no? So girls are in practice. Practise. Whatever.
2. boys who can (or mistakenly think they can) dominate a girl in a debate will hold back a bit or a lot out of some idea of chivalry, often enough, and this is rooted in the same physical inequality thing.
3. debating is gay.
