Divorce rates?
If people were honest and brave, the divorce rate would be about 99.9%.
And the people left didn't need marriage.
If I'm wrong about this, just check the next time a bad or otherwise stand-up makes some cracks about marriage. Everyone laughs because every marriage sucks.
Marriage is a way to keep people together after the relationship has gone sour. And no-one likes things that are sour unless they're meant to be sour, like how lemons are sweet but sour milk is just gross and stuff.
