Sunday, April 3, 2005 at 5:02 AM I met Branford Marsalis when he played with that poser Sting, a long time ago. I guess it's been about 20 yrs. He was very cool. Not a surprise I guess. His music is insane, and he's incredibly talented. Also not a surprise, his whole family has some chops. I'm more of a Winton fan, though. Their dad, Ellis, plays on a lot of Winton's stuff, amazing pianist. I'm guessing that talent does have some genetics involved. —oh-for |
