Okay, so you hear the voice of an archangel, and you want to marry four women, one of whom is your best friend's daughter and also happens to be prepubescent? Perfectly normal, perfectly healthy! Osama bin Laden, you also want four wives and end up having 60-odd kids and make killing whitey your life goal? Why, this man is PERFECTLY sane! Okay, so anyways. In a more abstract explanation, polygamous relationships can bring about some very harmful emotions. Just look at what A&D say about threesomes, really. Someone's going to get jealous, or try to sabotage something, or view it as a competition. It's really just not healthy. Animals can pull this off sometimes, but humans are meant to be monogamous. (Yeah, even with the "Coolidge Effect" monogamous relationships are still emotionally better.) —Dark Laith |
