Friday, April 1, 2005 at 12:56 AM I'm seeing something about whether black or white smoke is coming out of the smokestack, as a signal that a new pope has been elected, following the death of a pope. I'm not too clear on the details, as it's been since I was 10 years old that it was last done (twice within about a month. Remember Pope John Paul I, anyone?). Sorry.
