I'm not sure if you even check this, but...

I was updating my "notes" for shows that I've listened to in the past few weeks and I don't think that you were in studio on the 27th or 28th of February, but there are killer Drew drops in each of those shows.

The occurrance times may be a little off from copies that one would retrieve from the web, because both drops take place during the second segment of their respective shows (and I edit out the commercials), so there's a 3-5 minute difference.

The one from the 27th comes at (1:17:46) and features Drew saying "Hey, I saw something on the TV, so I squeezed one off. I was driving in the car and I saw a girl in a bikini, so I squeezed one off." - It's "clean" at both ends with nobody talking over Drew.

The one from the 28th (Simon LeBon) happens at (36:00) with Drew saying, "I wear lingerie so I feel sexy to me so I look good to you, even though you don't care." - This one ends crisply, but Simon LeBon sort of muffles up the beginning. It's not too bad, though.

I can be contacted at tomdomaso@hotmail.com if you want to give the "yay" or "nay" on these, OR if you're looking for any particular Adam story, as I'm slowly combing over every available show since 1995 for such gems.

Later.

Anderson has to listen to shows he was away for already. He listens for best-of and such. I think he listens to each show twice.

Nice job Tomdomaso. But I think you need a hobby, or a girlfriend.

I don't think it takes all that much time or effort to look at the timer when you hear something funny, and write it with good grammar...

Not a lot of effort, but a lot of time if he's doing it as extensively as he claims to be.

Tom... can you/are you sharing your pre-2000 shows on DC++?

To respond to all of the above remarks:

1) I am pretty nerdy... but I do have a girlfriend.

2) Most of anything I have pre-2000 is pretty widely available on the hub. I am logged onto DC++ here and there, though.

3) I have afforded myself the time to take on the little project of notating all of my Loveline episodes through the brainless-sleepwalker job that I took a few months ago, solely with the intent to listen to my iPod for 7-9 hours per day.

I listen to the last night(s) episode and then a few older ones, and when I hear a good Adam story or the origin of a drop or something I just note it on a little post-it that I carry around in my pocket. Then I take a few minutes after work to edit out any missed commercials, and add in my notes in the mp3 track properties, so I can search for any episode with a 'Germany or Florida' or something like that in it very easily.

You'd be surprised how little of my actual "me time" that it takes up, compared to what one might assume.

I've only taken the liberty of noting "potential" drops on the two that started this thread, and I figured they might be of interest.

brainless sleepwalker job, lot out everyone, this guy is a security guard. his training is so advanced, he could snap your neck with his finger and a mouse.

Seriously, though.

I don't want to do that online build-up of myself or attacking anybody else stuff.

I work for an medical insurance company and I do alright for myself.

I don't drive a Jag, or anything like that. I'd still probably fall into a pretty low tax bracket, but I am definitely not a janitor or security guard (although those are very noble callings).

Tomdomaso:

Don't sweat it--I used to sell my soul for a life insurance agency. I could not have been more bored, but it paid my way through school (stripping wasn't an option). My loveline cassette tapes (what I would've killed for an Ipod back then) and NPR got me through. That and lots of leaving my jacket/sweater on my chair and taking long breaks at the bookstore.
