Thursday, March 10, 2005 at 1:55 PM During the show w/ Simon from Duran Duran, Adam mentioned bands that havent sold that many records and are insecure, but overcompensate w/ attitude, and Drew coughed out Nickelback. Anyone know the story behind that? —savethebabies |

Thursday, March 10, 2005 at 6:22 PM Can't forget The Darkness or Harvey Danger, but I think the title of this thread is misleading..no one was really asking what bands Adam hates. —chix0r |

Thursday, March 10, 2005 at 10:52 PM Edited Thursday, March 10, 2005 at 10:54 PM "Try listening to the episode; 2003-09-22. I bet all your answers will be found in there." I listened specifically after that Drew reference and to be honest, I didn't hear anything to support the (Drew's and subsequently your's) hypothesis that they are blowhards. This leads me to the obvious conclusion (logically, which not everyone will subscribe to) that Drew experienced something extrcuricular and logical to lead him to his conclusion...or you have only been touching yourself hoping something good will fly your way or some hot broad will touch herself close to your vicinity. It would only explain something that would talk shit about a shit band. —Ovid |

Friday, March 11, 2005 at 10:33 AM If I remember correctly, they started that way and mentioned most of the ones already covered here - At The Drive-In, Harvey Danger, etc. Then they decided it was too negative, and instead listed the bands they really liked having on. And then I think it ended up being just bands that Drew has met in general over the years (which is a pretty impressive list, even though he doesn't remember most of the encounters) - but that may have been a different night. —Beat It! |

Friday, March 11, 2005 at 2:11 PM No, AFI didn't have a bad attitiude. They were on when the discussion came about because Adam and Drew were talking about how AFI was a "friend of the show". ATDI were just obnoxious, pompous jackasses. —Beat It! |
