Adam asking about money.

When Adam was asking Audrey Evans about how much PLayboy offered her, I totally agreed with him. Just freaking tell us how much they offered you, bish. Then she has the gall to ask the next caller how much she makes. I wanted to call in and support Adam on his thinking.

Btw, had Adam ever said how much he makes for doing Loveline? I know he's read off his end of year earnings several times, which is always comical because he starts in the 80's making anywhere from 0$ to 30k, then it suddenly jumps to like 250k. heh

Yea, but he sometimes says how much he gets for voice over work and the like. I for one would like to hear him read off his tax return. He always complains aboiut how much tax he pays but with all his real estate and investments I am sure it is well below the national average. You know how the rich keep getting richer!

Holy Christ, how dumb was she? She even argued with Drew when he was diagnosing the other crazy chick on the show ("No, she didn't have any problems, she was so nice.")

Although I do like that they actually called her out on her own issues, something they don't often do with guests (but I'd like to hear more of). They mentioned her anger issues and how she uses superficial excuses to blame her failures on rather than sheer incompetence. Of course she summarily dismissed everything like a true tard does.

I agree. They, very politely, asked her if maybe, sometimes, people reacted to her energy about being discriminated against or not being taken seriously because she was female, rather than them actually doing that, and she said "No." Not, well maybe sometimes, or i guess it's a possibility, just a flat out no, that simply isn't possible that it could be anything wrong with ME, it's everyone else that has the problem.

Sometimes companies don't want how much money they are paying people to get out. It also could be a personal thing. I don't know, I didn't actually listen to the show.

I didn't really blame her for the money thing, but the other subjects (how people treat her for being a hot female, and the crazy person on the show) her disagreement made her seem rather... pathetic.

But that's always been Adam's pet peeve. At least say what ballpark figure they offered. I see this on Stern too. I think the subject is lying because she's probably embarrassed how low the figure is (Playboy is notorious for not paying too well). At least she could have talked about the supposed "contract" NBC has up front. But I didn't buy that either.

But I think what aches Adam (and me too) is that she wants us to talk to her like she's Margaret Thatcher or Madeline Albright, when in fact, she's just a reality show flavor of the month, soon to be forgotten (see that Survivor beeotch who did the same thing, only to end up spreading in the long run).

I believe it's just proffessional ethics not to talk about how much you get paid. Does this apply to "hollywood crowd" (ethics I mean ibn general) I don't know...

Savethebabies:

I agree with you in general. Just this topic (ooh, did playboy make you an offer or not? and then being coy about it) I think it's fair to ask. It's also fair to say "I wasn't interested or I would never do it." But I think Adam sizzles over this taboo over the Playboy posing question.

Another case in point was Debbie Gibson last month. She said the same thing, now her career needs a boost so she takes the clothes off. Nothing wrong with that, just don't act so smug and coy about it (not you, the chick in question). And then spare the notion about how "artistic" it is and so forth. It's porn plain and simple.

There's nothing unethical at all about talking about how much money you make. There's no reason to be guilted into thinking because you make X amount of dollars that you should be ashamed of it. There's no need to rub it in someone's face, but there's no reason to hide it either.

He always complains aboiut how much tax he pays but with all his real estate and investments I am sure it is well below the national average. You know how the rich keep getting richer!

Yeah, $700,000 is well below the national average for paying taxes.
