Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at 3:31 PM Anybody else see Dr. Drew on this CNN show? They showed the scientific study with the way the brain lights up differently for men and women, yada yada yada, just like he talks about on the radio show. He really tore up the segment, talking at rapid fire speed, even sharing that his brain got tested. He spontaneously threw in how his wife thinks Billy Idol is hot (Anderson Cooper made sure to ask, the old Billy Idol, or the new Billy Idol?). Dr. Drew said that he asked his wife, oh, does that mean you want to have sex with Billy Idol? And he quoted her as saying, "uh, How Dare You, I would never want to have sex with Billy Idol!" LOL! I'm sure his oh-so-sensitive wife is going to like that. The whole "How Dare You" thing originated with Adam. You can see how much Adam has been a major influence on Dr. Drew's presentation skills. —kucha girl |

Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at 8:22 PM Edited Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at 8:22 PM PINSKY: ... And frankly, I believe the female is probably more developed form of the human being. Drew, really? Lets not be pussies here. Say what Adam said.... "Men do everything better than women except for the stuff we're not interested in. Even when it comes to stuff like cooking, all the great chefs in the world are men. I'm guessing men could sow better than women too, it's just we just don't have time for some things." That was Adam on NPR. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=1068976 —ZT |

Thursday, March 10, 2005 at 3:47 PM Edited Thursday, March 10, 2005 at 3:52 PM Y'all bring up an interesting point I was thinking about the other day. Adam has certainly learned a lot from Drew, you can hear it in his voice, the questions he has for callers. But Drew has "learned" phrases and wording from Adam more than anything else. Does this signify anything? I've come up with a couple of possibilities. Maybe it's "street smarts" vs "book smarts"? Higher education requires one to commit to memory, then regurgitate specific facts and words. Less than thinking about it, sometimes, it may become an automatic response. Out in the non-collegiate world, you learn by adapting things that work into your life, without mimicing them 100%. Or, maybe it shows Adam may be smiply "smarter", able to extrapolate? Or maybe Drew has that few friends? Drew is more malleable? I dunno... —Lou Cypher |

Thursday, March 10, 2005 at 3:54 PM I think it's just Drew being kinda impressionable/malleable combined with doing a radio show with the guy 5 nights a week for 10 years. Associate with someone like that and sooner or later you'll pick up some behaviors. —Dark Laith |
