Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at 7:47 PM "Official" sites tend to have shitty message boards. I can't think of any official boards that I like. The fan-run sites for some reason tend to be better. —clodhopper |

Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at 9:30 PM i think people devoting their time to spell/grammar checking on the message boards are lower then scum. disgust me. every message board community has a few i guess. and you don't ever have typos? whatever. while spending time pointing out someone else's mistakes, carve yourself a medal saying best grammar/ spell checker and wear it all the time...

Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at 9:49 PM and you don't ever have typos? whatever. 1) I like how you pretend that there is no difference between typos and ignorance. 2) You have eyes. Scan for typos YOURSELF before you click the "Post Message" button, then you won't have to put up with those who disgust you so much. while spending time pointing out someone else's mistakes, carve yourself a medal saying best grammar/ spell checker and wear it all the time... I bet you think telling Adam to shut up and go beat off in the corner is an insult, too. —TortillaFactory |

First off, I'd say that most of the time, the people who do it on these boards are either a) just poking fun, even though the person really did make a typo, or b) are correcting something that could be legitimately confusing. Second... CALM DOWN. —Dark Laith |

Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at 10:03 PM *sirens wail in the background* The GRAMMAR POLICE has arrived! I'm joining forces with Dusty, Tortilla, and nvgoddess. On the other hand, it's OK to make some grammatical mistakes on a forum. It's just that those mistakes shouldn't be so elementary that 9 year olds wouldn't dare make them. I think we're a fairly educated and intelligent bunch, so on the whole such grammatical problems aren't that common here. —ankiedada |

Thursday, March 3, 2005 at 4:37 AM Did Drew ever actually do that? (Sorry if that's what you were saying, but your wording wasn't entirely clear.) —Dark Laith He did indeed. It was in 1999. Totally insane chat when he would come on. There were a lot of f'd up kids on that site. He would also do an online interview and once I talked to Andy Dick. Sorta cool. Drew's nickname was DrDDP. —stass |

Monday, March 7, 2005 at 10:04 AM Back in the day Dr. Drew.com was awesome. There was nothing more "dot bomb" on the 'net. He had his launch party at Skybar, he had bi-weekly streaming webcast (I even asked a question on one of those), and then they started doing some weird reality show where a guy and a girl won a contest and went on a road trip together. It made absolutely no sense--it looked like it cost an arm and a leg. —bguirk |

Monday, March 7, 2005 at 4:42 PM DOT BOMB - This is a derogatory slang term for the era of the Dot Com website when many companies were funded with unrealistic expectations and questionable business plans, causing a virtual bomb to go off in the economy as most of the companies eventually collapsed. —bguirk |
