Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at 1:15 PM I don't get it -- "Gotta Get It On" was literally a song from the "Taboo 2" soundtrack -- the lyrics are: Gotta get it on Gotta get it on... (repeated ad infinitum) Did you want me to research it further than that? Uh, let's see, "get it on" was a popular phrase in the late 60's and early 70's used to denote that people were having sexual intercourse. Though known among adults, it was more commonly used by teenagers and kids in their 20's during that time period... *continues disertation on the origin of "gotta get it on"* —steve |

Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at 1:19 PM Edited Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at 1:19 PM What is the "it" referring to? And by "on", is something being donned, like putting on a sweater? Oh, and, "get", you must obtain this "it" to put "on"????? I'm confused. —Lou Cypher |

She can kill with a smile She can wound with her eyes She can ruin your faith with her casual lies And she only reveals what she wants you to see Yeah, she hides like a child But she's always a woman to me —Dusty TheHick |

Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at 9:01 PM Well, according to IMDB, Taboo II came out in 1982. Billy Joel's song came out in 1977. So, there you go. I doubt that Taboo II's song was written that long before the film was released. —TortillaFactory |
