Adam always says it at the end of the show, but I don't really know what it means. I'm guessing it's a word for 'goodbye' but in what language?

Hawaiian. If you go to the sounds section of this site and then under best of (i think) theres a whole clip with Adam explaining it.

Actually, it means 25 other things depending on the context you're using it. Hawaiian is a strange language...

In 50 First Dates (which took place in Hawaii) they used mahalo for thank you.

In the mahalo clip in the Sound -> Show section Adam expains that it means thank you but is also used as a goodbye.
