I think just like the Catholic priest molester scandal this is far more comon than people think, it just hadn't made it to the newspapers and administrators and parents used to handle it discretly. Now we have lawyers to thank for making this not so discreet. I know during my high school years there was one social studies teacher who was busted for having relationships with male and female students. Plus there was a female English teacher who got intimate with more than a few students, both male and female, but she was never fingered. (pardon the pun) Then at a neighboring high school there was an notable English teacher who moonlighted as a newspaper columnist who got canned for having a realtionship with a female student. By the way, the only kind of teachers who one can fully rule out as potential molesters are...? Math teachers. Most likely? English. —GDG |
