Friday, December 3, 2004 at 8:33 PM Is anyone else out there regularly exposed to Ranchero music? I'm in AZ, so I have to hear it all the time. I'm wondering if we all feel like Adam does, or if someone here likes this 'festive' type of music. —gouranga3221 |

Friday, December 3, 2004 at 8:38 PM Yeah, I'm in the San Francisco East Bay area. Lots of Latino/Mexican Raider fans sporting the 10-gallon hats and cowboy boots, with tubas a'blaring. I know everyone who doesn't like a particular genre of music says of that type that, "it all sounds alike". Well, this stuff does. —Lou Cypher |

Saturday, December 4, 2004 at 1:44 AM I'm in Springfield, Oregon (just outside of Eugene). I live in a heavily-Hispanic area but I actually don't hear ranchero music much - I work second shift and am usually not here when my neighbors are off work. I dunno. I don't mind ranchero music, but like I said, I don't hear it except on weekends, at barbecues and when I go to Burrito Boy. Then again, at my job the radio is pegged (by management fiat) to a station that's been playing Christmas carols 24/7 since midnight on Thanksgiving. It's like being drowned in Sweet-n-Low. I would rather be listening to ranchero music, because I'm sure the ranchero station has more than 12 songs in its rotation. —Dubious Merit |

¡Estoy a régimen! edit: goddamn alt-chars —Dubious Merit |

The only thing worse than Ranchero. Between carols and a bullet in the face, I'll take the bullet every time. —gouranga3221 |
