Chris Farley would have been a great guest. Although I think Adam wasn't a big fan of him.

Adolf Hitler and John Lennon would have made great guests.

Oww, and so would Alexander The Great, Adam and Alex could exchange BJs while Drew watched and masturbated.

Does Adam not like Joe Rogan now or that since he took over the Man Show? I mean they got on well when Joe Rogan came on the promote Fear Factor, now Adam references it in a bad light all the time...

I wonder what kind of a guest Kurt Cobain would have made.

I would rather have Maynard James Keenan on the show though.

I would have liked to hear all or some of the members of Devo on Loveline. I have a tape (from the Devo Bootleg Archive) of them on some other love advice radio show, and I think they had some genuine insight.
I don't know what show it was - the host was a woman, and I kind of want to say it was Canadian.

I think it would be interesting to have the hosts of Car Talk on Loveline - either they would get along very well, or the fur would fly immediately. Either way, I don't think they'd answer many calls that night.

Oh, and Penn Jillette. He's kind of a blowhard, but he's a staunch atheist, Libertarian and teetotaler, and it would be interesting to hear him and Adam go at it. Or not, maybe they'd get along. Penn does a lot of radio and voiceovers, so he wouldn't be shy.

edit: two Ls in "Jillette"

No, George W! If they had a current administration president in there, they could bitch at him for not caring about the important issues, like idiots crapping out kids and left-turn arrows!

Yeah, that's a good point Dark Laith -- I always think about how Adam's rants that really should be heard are always heard by the "wrong" people -- I.E.: stoners & dumb kids who don't care either way, or people like us who, although we agree with him, have no power to actually evoke any real change in the world.

I'm not sure if they qualify as "fantasy guests", but I wouldn't mind hearing actor Jeff Bridges, musician Matt Johnson, or comedian Zach Galifianakis on the show.

Comedian Lewis Black would probably be pretty good. He may steal Adam's thunder, though they'd probably agree on a lot.

...people like us who, although we agree with him, have no power to actually evoke any real change in the world.

You're saying GWB has the power to evoke change? Even if he had that power, he wouldn't use it. Politicans can't afford to accomplish anything, lest they lose the popular approval and fail to get reelected.

Speaking of Zach Galifinakis -- Why hasn't he been on the show? With as much as he's done Jimmy's show, you'd think he'd do Loveline. I also second Lewis Black and Adam's dad.

And yes TF, whether pussy-ass politicians actually use their power to evoke change, they do in fact have the power to evoke change -- that's the nature of making policy for a living.

That may be so, but the president can barely do anything at all what with the stranglehold that his advisors have on him. And this goes for all presidents, not just Dubya. Do you think he WANTED to celebrate Ramadan in the White House?

BOT:
Danny Masterson. I'm sure he's been on the show before - Adam mentioned on the Wilmer Valderrama one that they'd have everybody from That 70s Show - but I missed it, and I'd love to hear him. A little farther out into the realm of fantasy...Joaquin Phoenix.

Re: Danny Masterson

Have there been any Scientologists on Loveline? As much as Adam clashes with the Christians, I can't help but think any Scientologist would be tooth-and-claw with Drew because he's a doctor who dares to say that mental illness is caused by anything besides body thetans, and therefore he's part of the evil drug-prescribing medical conspiracy to keep humanity down, man. And A&D recommend therapy and 12-step programs all the time.

I mean, Scientology be wack, yo, and even if one of their members weren't too into it, it'd still be a mistake to go on a national show and not be heard espousing the party line. Wasn't Masterson actually born into the cult, not a later convert? It's probably anathema to him to even consider going on.
