Thursday, November 4, 2004 at 10:13 PM He is so boring compared to Adam he makes the show unlistenable. I wish I was back in junior high and I could put a thumping on Stryker just for irritating me. Wait, back in junior high I was the guy who got thumped on, so I'll just shut up now and have a beer. —Craig Beerman |

Thursday, November 4, 2004 at 10:27 PM Christ, is Stryker on tonight? Just put the call out there Craig, like this... HEY! SOMEBODY AT THE RADIO STATION! GIVE STRYKER A GOOD SMACK ON THE BACK OF THE HEAD NEXT TIME YOU SEE HIM AND SAY "THATS FROM THE LOVELINE COMPANION!" Can't hurt to politely ask. Seriously, the man is awful. PLEASE, get somebody else to fill in or let Drew go it alone. Who was that one woman they had on there one time? Wasn't she from KROQ? She was great, much better than StrikeOut, and it was nice to hear a woman's perspective... get her... or DAG... or hell, fucking Howie Mandel again... JUST NO MORE STRYKER!!!!!! PLEASE! —Logo Lou |

Thursday, November 4, 2004 at 11:31 PM Come on... You guys have to give it up to Stryker tonight. His interview technique with Anthony Kiedis is supurb and Adam would never shut up long enough to let Anthony tell his stories. Anthony is an interesting dude. This is the best Stryker episode ever and is one of the top Lovelines. —Juanus |

Friday, November 5, 2004 at 3:22 PM I have nothing against Stryker. He is not entertaining on Loveline is all. However, if people would actually listen to last nights episode 1)they might learn something and 2)they would actually have to admit that they liked something Stryker did which was interview Anthony Keidis. They barely took any calls last night and it was fabulous. —Juanus |

Friday, November 5, 2004 at 9:34 PM Hmm, I'm having second thoughts now... Anthony Kiedis is the frontman for Red Hot Chilli Peppers, right? And they BARELY took any calls because Kiedis was telling HIS stories? If both are true then I'm gonna listen to that show. I bet he has a LOT of interesting stories... hmm... —j4k3 |

Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 12:08 AM The best replacement for Adam is not DAG or that Chadwick guy (however you spell his name) but... drum roll... Jay Mohr! Remember when he was on the show with some female actress promoting their movie? He seemed to know ALL of Adam's jags and is equally funny! I bet he secretly listens to the show and try to pattern his comedic routine after the great Adam! —j4k3 |

Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 12:47 AM Stryker is annoying but the Anthony Keidis show wasn't deplorable like most Stryker appearances. I can't believe anyone would appreciate Stryker's "radio skills." Stryker is everything Adam rails against in radio. It's all mushy and fake. "I read that in your book, you have some great stories here." "Did you read the book?" "Uhhh, um, no." Stryker is so weak-willed and dumb that Drew becomes the beast and pushes him around. Anyone Drew can push around, I have no respect for. —greymatters |

Remember when he was on the show with some female actress promoting their movie? He seemed to know ALL of Adam's jags and is equally funny! I bet he secretly listens to the show and try to pattern his comedic routine after the great Adam! That's actually a really good suggestion. Mohr has a lot of the insecurities and insights that Adam possesses, so he's in that general framework of being a great replacement. Read Mohr's book, Gasping for Airtime, and you'll see a new angle on the guy. I actually found his work more enjoyable once I learned he comes from such a troubled existence. Also, Mohr is no stranger to lifting another comic's routine, so the idea he listens in to the show is entirely plausible. But he ain't moving into radio now that he's got his prime time comedy gig going. He can make the comedy circuit rounds for quite a while feeding off of the Last Comic Standing popularity and make tons of money. But he would be a great fill-in. Stryker Sucks!

Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 6:13 PM I agree that Mohr would also be pretty good. The funniest thing I heard him say on Loveline: (Some chick caller was telling a sob story) Jay said: "Why don't you put that on Lifetime? Put it on after 'Boo-Hoo: The Story of Some Lady.'" Unfortunately it fell largely on deaf ears as Adam was talking at the same time. Mohr seemed a little annoyed. —Dusty TheHick |

Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at 11:01 PM HEY! Stryker serves a very valid and noble purpse: . . . . He does the squawky and smooth voice on the god damn Classic Rock station, so that Ace Man does'nt have to! I liked some of the Tony Kiedis stories, but Jesus Christ, that M-Fer Ted Stryker interviews people as if he suddenly swapped brains with Litman of "Inside the Friggin' Actors Studio". I hope most of you can agree that Ace Man runs a truly excellent interview, with minor flaws. ** He won't accept BS answers from people whom he don't respect ** ** He interrupts, cuts off, and steps on some of the better answers ** —huspomike |

Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at 2:10 AM Juanus, did you bother reading the text before huspomike talked about Adam interrupting? "I hope most of you can agree that Ace Man runs a truly excellent interview, with minor flaws." I don't think huspomike goes to JC. He knew how to spell "interrupt," that's three syllables, that's not allowed in JC. Maybe he goes to a trade school or he's from the south because he did mix "doesn't" with "don't." I personally think it's great that Adam runs over the guests, most of them aren't worth listening to. Did you really want to listen to that gay psychic about seeing color vibrations from Adam and Drew? No, of course not. Do you really want to hear April Matson talk about how she won't allow her boyfriend to masturbate? No, no one does. Am I doing the asking and answering my own questions bit? Yes, yes I am. —greymatters |
