Adam Not Invited Back to Late Late Show?

I just read an article that says CBS has asked four people back to do more guest hosting for this month. Adam is not one of the four on the list. Has he mentioned on the air whether that opportunity is still open to him?

Yeah, he mentioned last nite (the "I'm bleeding from my vagina" episode) that he did make the cut to the final 5, but declined. He said they kept pushing the decision date back and that he has a coupla other projects possibly in the works that he didn't want to delay any longer, on the off chance that they actually worked out.

that's showbiz...

i think that adam has trouble translating his comic genius into that kinda stand-up comedy / heavily scripted kind of format - better on the free range conversational end of things.

for example, i think that he would be awesome as the host of "Tough Crowd" (Colin Quin's show) as long as he could get himself to let other people talk sometimes...

It sounded from the start that Adam was lukewarm to the show anyway. Plus, all of this is a dog and pony show because it's been out there for over a month that Michael Ian Black (who David Letterman loves) already has the job.

Dog and pony show? What is this, some Tijuana back alley sex club?

Maybe I am just being greedy here, but perhaps this will make a return to Loveline more probably come contract time (next year?). I don't think he would have juggled the Late Late Show AND Loveline. The other projects he has going on are writing and voice-overs which are a lot more flexible.

I think Adam is too loyal to Jimmy to host a show in the same time period (partly). I think he likes being a writer for Jimmy, Loveline, plus other projects. This show would take up all his time.
