I knew that already of course, but I'm wondering, how is it the current owners can legally keep Drew's image on there? You'd think that, if he were no longer affiliated with it, he wouldn't want his smiling puss being placed there... —Dark Laith |

Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at 5:01 PM Someone was saying that the registration was about ti expire, and that it could be snatched back up? That may have happened already. If I didn't have to leave right now, I would check. —ZT |

Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at 9:09 PM They basically sold it because it hemorrhaged money, and the "dot-com" boom was ending, with no sign of more funding on the horizon. I do believe that drkoop.com bought it for a fraction of the money they had lost while trying to get it off the ground - and it has been frozen in time ever since. —Kevin U. |

Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at 5:00 AM WHOIS info on the current site owners: http://tinyurl.com/4tgeb The current registration expires September 10th 2005. A little under a year before anyone would have a chance to grab it. I would get it for Drew, though, and like... Hand over the registration to him for all of the babies he's saved over the last 25 years or so. :) Though, he'd probably have to redo the entire site to avoid any copyright issues -- since when drkoop bought it, they bought all of the content as well? But, I'd imagine that's what he'd want to do anyway. —ZT |

Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at 5:32 PM Dr. Drew.com never was a good website, at least not as long as I've been an active loveline fan. Pretty lacking in the information department. —sneedo |
