Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at 10:25 PM I was listening to the 20040412 show (Ron Perlman), and at about 14:30, Adam begins to complain that he always overshoots when he is fast-forwarding through commercials on his Tivo. From the way he was talking about it, it sounded like he didn't enable the "secret" 30-Second skip feature. Because most commercials are 30 seconds in duration, tapping the 30-second skip button cues past the commericals very effectively. Below is a link that has instructions for enabling the feaure. If anyone is motivated to call in, please mention it to the Aceman. —Full Meat |

Thursday, September 30, 2004 at 10:01 AM Why the hell'd they call it an "easter egg"? An easter egg (aside from the literal meaning) is a secret little thing programmers put into programs or video games with no useful feature, like a secret credit screen, or a Christmas tree showing up on 12/25. This is an obscure feature, not an easter egg. —Dark Laith |

Thursday, September 30, 2004 at 4:21 PM Ha ha -- Hey Dark Laith -- I found a crazy easter egg at the Loveline Companion: If you click the button marked "Forum" on the home page, you can actually access a message board where fans of the show chat and share information. But shhhhh... don't tell anyone 'cause it's a secret. Seriously though, does anyone know if there's a similar feature with Comcast's DVR (which is roughly the equivalent to TIVO)? I have the same problem -- I always over-shoot the commercials by about ten to twenty seconds, then I have to rewind to get back to the program. —steve |
