I was just perusing the iTunes Music Store and noticed this $2.95 radio appearance with Dr. Drew.

You can go to www.npr.org and download any Drew and Adam appearance for free. There is a very interesting Adam appearance he shared with Details and Spin writers talking about "macho humor." There is a great exchange he had with a girl who said that The Man Show caused her mom to be abused and caused woman to be raped. Just go to www.npr.org, go to archives, and search for drew pinsky or adam carolla.

Don't you just love it when the blame is shifted to TV/music/movies/video games/etc.?

Here are the links for the NPR shows:

Talk of the Nation - the macho backlash, with some Spin and Details guys and some wussy host

All Things Considered - Crank Yankers with another wussy host who tries to make a joke about political crank calls

There are actually some decent moments here as Adam takes us behind the curtain and tells us what he thinks about his shows. He challenges Tim Allen and all comers to host loveline when one caller questions how funny he is. After a female caller from an abused family slips in the word rape with no rationale whatsoever, he tells her that that's all she has to look forward to forever.

The second one has some good crank yankers behind-the-scenes details, mostly legal stuff.

If you want an mp3 of either of those shows, they are available on the hub.
