Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at 9:14 PM I agree, its very weak. Any amature could do better with Adobe Audition and some cheap voice talent. But on the plus side, its a longer intro so in case a stations promo, ID,, whatever its called, runs over it you wont miss any actual speaking. —24/7KROQ |

Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at 8:59 AM The new opening is very annoying because it has like 8 seconds of silence in like 16 seconds of audio. Loveline is meant for an adult audience... cut for 3 seconds Loveline may contain sexually oriented content... -echo cut for 3 seconds Listener discretion is advised... -cut for a second Listener discretion is advised..advisd.esdakda.advised This is loveline with adam cacadrolla and d.d.d.d.dr d.d.d.r drew WKQX has their own opening that is very good that was cut together. WKQX: short burst of trumpet SomeChick: I bring you some of my..(unintelligible) Adam: This class is called..sexual..education Adam: My name is..Mr..Macguyver.... Announcer: This is loveline with adam carolla and dr. drew outro music All in all it's like 10 seconds and just amazingly well done. —Erlog |

Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at 6:15 AM Edited Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at 6:17 AM Ah, okay. That makes sense now. I'm waiting on a new password for my webspace. Once that comes through I have the clip all edited and stuff ready to go. I've heard other intros from other stations through the magic of digitally recorded shows, and I'd have to say the Q101 intro is the best I've heard. —Erlog |

Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at 9:40 PM Max Headroom was a crummy computer-animated DJ show on Cinemax back in the 80s. Some rubbery-looking talking head that looked like a cross between Rutger Hauer and Louis Begley Jr. bantered away in "hip" DJ lingo and played music videos. Something for the time capsule. —Coleman |

Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at 11:27 PM I'm not sure I'm comfortable living in a world where people don't know who Max Headroom is. Even funnier are the people that think the character was actually some sort of dj on a real station. The show was mainly drama/sci-fi about the television production companies in the future. Don't take Max Headroom, the character, seriously. He was never meant to be taken seriously. The show however, was actually pretty good. —Erlog |

Thursday, August 5, 2004 at 2:14 AM No kidding? I was about 7 or 8 when Cinemax ran that Max Headroom show. It was 30 minutes long and consisted of 20 minutes of lame 80s music videos and 10 minutes of annoying Max Headroom banter. I don't remember any sci-fi or social satire aspects to it. Where and when did you see this awesome satirical sci-fi show? —Coleman |

Thursday, August 5, 2004 at 8:44 PM Actually, I asked "who's Max Headroom?" to see who ELSE knew. Glad it wasn't just me. Before it became a music video thing, before they cranked out way too many episodes after they'd run out of ideas, it was pretty good. Kind of a Bladerunner, Mad Max vibe -- and in it's day the tech was pretty advanced. I taped nearly all the episodes (when it was good) and recently came across the tapes. But since they were recorded about 3 VCRs back, on what was then a state of the art VCR, they don't track worth a damn on the machine I have now. There's probably more howling irony there than even I can grasp. —baja |

Saturday, August 7, 2004 at 8:59 AM Adam and Drew keep on trashing it, and the person who did the opening, but...isn't that Anderson's job? I just keep on thinking, "damn, these two are trashing this, and Anderson's probably the one who did it, and he's hearing it all..." Did he do it or not?
