Now that I heard your actual phone conversation on Loveline I COMPLETELY agree with Adam and Drew and IF anyone was being overly abusive it would have to be Drew, not Adam. They don't have a clue about a person other than the phone conversation. If you have read my posts you would understand what I was talking about. I am glad you take them to heart. Pretty sad you have to resort to a entertaiment talk show to boost your ego. Again read my other posts if you are curious about my therapy and what my opinions are. My opinions are mine and your opinions are yours. As a person I see Adam as a very abusive, self centered person and he shows no compassion. Dr. Drew maybe but to him it is a part time job. Ive read your other posts and pretty much all I heard the entire time was: Well, I dont do illegal drugs, im getting the drugs through a prescription so it's OK. If you use that logic than all of the oxycotton addicts in the world arent really aeddicts. They get their drugs through prescription and it is a totally legal pain killer. But they understand that they have to be a step removed from the person in order to see through their denial and help them. Forming too close of an emotional bond with a caller/patient may cause them to not be as harsh, truthful and/or aggressive as they need to be to truly help the person. If a person is broken, they need to be repaired. Resetting a dislocated arm is incredibly painful but it has to be done, even if a mom has to do it to her son. It will be incredibly painful at first but it needs to be done in order for her son to heal. A lot of the methods they use are out of necessity. You think Adam wants you to be a drug addict? You think Dr. Drew wants to only have five minutes to help you? A lot of these calls are meant to help others who may not have gone down your path yet. Someone out there somewhere somewhow may, in a way, get some insight to help themselves. I think there a more than a few people out there who have not made mistakes or made less of them fron listening to this "entertainment" show. Maybe a couple of girls did not lose their virginity when they were fourteen. Or that you may not get pregnant through anal sex but it is a damn good way to get an STD. Some guys understand that girls don't necessarily like "badboys" but they really hate pussy's. So get out there and just ask some girl out you like. (Which I did, long story, but it turned out well) From listening to this show, you get answers you were to embarrased to ask anybody, and found out things you had not even thought about asking about. I can safely say that this show has helped millions in some way, big or small, in it's 20 year existence. It does not need to justify it's existence to anyone, it's earned it good health, and I wish it good times....................... —Nosuchsoul |

Dr. Drew and Adam....ahh I see it really hilarious that people tend to think they know it all because they listen to them spew their mouth for a 2 hr segment Mon-thru-Thurs. I got news for yu...they don't give a crap and Dr. Drew saying he wants to help that is BS. If he really wanted to help people he would spend more time in another re-hab facility instead of on a night radio show. Most callers....it is drama and you cannot tell from one person to the next who is making it up. NO one calls to say what they really want to say and the ones that do is pretty much retarded because..the answers are plain as day. Anyone with a intelligence level can answer most of the questions it doesn't take a rocket scientist. Those of you who seem to think you have to be the forefront and true fans of the show great...but you won't change my feelings. If IL listen I do if I don't I don't. Read Dr. Drews book cracked... there is a very important thing that he mentions in the book and I find sick that he says he wants to help people. There is this girl hooked on heroin and some other drugs and her insurance ran out. NOW Dr. Drew in all his infinite wisdom and he has some $$$$ could have swinged for her recover a few more days. DID HE??? NO!! Even if he did, she prob' more than likely would have gone and done the drugs. IF he was such a great doctor how come most of his patients are still ending back on his unit??? The hospital I was in had a terrific staff and people did get help they needed. I wouldn't put all your hopes into Dr. Drew. This girl ended up dying in his unit. HE was just so busy!!! He had no heart to help her...I did all I could do because the insurance was gone. I Find that BS...a true doctor would of fabricated the medical papers and put something down in order to get her to stay a few more days. I have had doctors do that for me when I had my daughter.. She would have died. Dr.Drew is just that.... He is a doctor but he is not the best one out there for the job. —Krista |
