After a stroke that occurred while sitting on the toilet, a former heroin addict with no former interest in art now spends almost all his time compulsively creating, painting, sculpting or writing poetry. Only two other cases of "Sudden Artist Output" are known after brain damage. He often draws images of faces within faces, which he describes as representing two parallel lines of thinking that seem to run through his brain simultaneously.
