Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at 2:05 AM Culture has an effect on human behaviour. I'll give you an example: The Nazis spoke German. The Allies spoke English, French, Russian, Spanish, etc. African countries were created by Europe. Africa has been manipulated and exploited by Europe since Europeans discovered the continent over 1000 years ago. The European interaction with Africa has increased over the centuries to the point in which the entire population of African people living in Africa (and a great deal of Africans living in other parts of the world) has been dominated and negated. Europeans around the world continue to enjoy an exaggerated standard of living thanks in part to the exploitation of Africa. You'd think that the Eurocentric peasants would enjoy their privilege instead of fretting over and imaging the evils of the African people of the world. Is it a coincidence that people who deny the suffering of Africa also despise Africa? —MajandraFan |
