Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 1:55 PM What Jeremy said: Shhhhhocking. That's a big flaw with Adam and Drew (especially Drew): They have no objectivity when dealing with celebrities they know or have worked with. Another f'rinstance: Drew keeps saying in his little talking-head spots on MTV and VH1 (while patting himself on the back for his amazing insightfulness) that he totally understands the genuine attraction between Dave Navarro and Carmen Electra, when it's totally obvious to everyone else that Dave is gay and Carmen is his beard. (Same thing's going on with Tom Cruise and all his "wives".) —Saffeau |

Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 2:29 PM Well, in Saff's defense, Dave Navarro was totally making out with Perry Ferrell in the original cut of "Mountain Song" circa 1990 or 1991. I don't know a lot of straight men willing to do that type of hardcore tongue-ing whether it's a joke or not. —steve |

Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 2:29 PM If we are going to bag on Drew for a minute I hate when he says "this is only a southern california thing, the rest of the country doesnt have it." The two I can remember are the carousels in dry cleaners and electronic speeding signs on highways. He said something this week or last that bugged me as well. I am from New Jersey, went to school in Maryland, and am now working in Oklahoma. I have seen those two "southern california" specific thing in every place I have been. —Marc |

Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 2:31 PM Dave Navarro has extremely gay tendencies. And his wife is a total fag hag - Prince, Dennis Rodman, and Dave Navarro!! All men who are clearly men, but have extremely questionable backgrounds and do extremely questionable things and wear extremely questional clothes. That's all I'm saying.. —dr ipod |

Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 3:07 PM I don't know about Tom Cruising, but Dave Navarro is HELLA gay! Remember that Loveline show where he talked for an hour about how he got an enema that afternoon and how it was so great? What a giveaway. Marrying a superhot, famous chick like Carmen was a smart career move for Dave. Otherwise his fan base would consist entirely of people like Pan Pan. It's still a tragic waste of hot babe, though. Carmen would make an AWESOME porn star. That juicy bod, that crazy energy! —horndog |

Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 3:54 PM Edited Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 3:56 PM hick truck, you can only accuse people of crimes or immoral acts. Being gay isn't a crime, and it isn't immoral either. It's little slips of the tongue that expose the real mentality of even the well-meaning straight liberals. Think about it: Would you accuse someone of being Latino or black or Asian? No. In your other posts you show yourself to be a thoughtful, decent person. Try re-examining your true feelings about gays and lesbians and see what you find there. Don't just glibly say you don't mind them. Look deep inside yourself and be honest. Then ask yourself why you feel that way. —Saffeau |

Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 5:05 PM Hooray, Saffy! You GO, girl!!! The Evidence: Hollywood is FILLED with my fellow Brethren of the Alternative Lifestyle, who know ALL the ins and outs, and every teeny-tiny who's-buried-what-where scuttlebutt. You can't keep a secret like sexual orientation for very long in that little gossip-mill-with-a-thousand-eyes-and-ears. Several of my bestest buddies in the industry have seen Major Tom Hisself in the elite "discrete" bath houses and rendezvous...and more than once, so it wasn't just an accident. ("Oops. I didn't know it was THIS kind of place. Oh well, I might as well stay." That's what all the closeted ones say. They aren't fooling anybody.) —Pan Pan |

Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 6:31 PM Dave Navarro's gayness speaks, or shrieks, for itself. He might as well carry a pink triangle everywhere he goes. Tom Cruise keeps his orientation better hidden, but if you know gay life intimately, you can spot the subtle signs of another One Of Us. Plus, I hear through the same grapevine as Pan Pan which famous personality has been to which bar or bath-house. The stories we could tell.... —Saffeau |

Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 8:50 PM My older brother used to work for Movieline magazine... he got to hear a lot of Hollywood gossip. Apparently there is a rumor that Nicole Kidman is gay as well! That is, Tom and Nicole each were each other's beard. I seem to remember Anderson working-in the "he's gay" Drew drop once when A&D and the guest started talking about Tom Cruise. Made me laugh. —Leif |

Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 10:02 PM Edited Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 10:10 PM Dave Navarro is not gay. For him to be gay, he would have to not find women attractive. Dave is what is commonly and clumsily labelled 'bisexual'. This is somewhat of a misnomer because it implys that some people are monosexual or unisexual or whatever the term would be. Tom Cruise is very gay. The best colloquial evidence for this is his track reference with the media. Not to mention that once he split with Nicole Kidman, he this time went for a girl who couldn't even speak English. These days Australia is one step away from Hawaii in terms of US relations, so another Aussie lass needing a greencard can't be found. For the best 'evidence' that Tom Cruise is gay, track down the Simpsons episode where that character voiced by Phil Hartman, the actor character, marries one of Marge's sisters because it is rumoured he has sex with fish. That whole episode is about Tom Cruise. Can't remember the specific names, don't like the Simpsons. Wow, that reads a bit contradictory on the whole. Still, I won't bother typing 20 paragraphs for people who don't know and have their hands over their ears. Nicole Kidman's potential lesbianic voyages would explain doubly why she adopted children. The real point would be how fucking sweet Dave Navarro's guitar skills are. I love the song he did with Nine Inch Nails, and his solo album is the fucking best. Great singer and lyricist too. Ooh, I forgot. With Prince, like he says, people make light of that which they don't understand. And if you misunderstand Dennis Rodman, then you're stupid, definitively. —MajandraFan |

Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 10:22 PM Well, many gays find women attractive, but are not sexually interested in them. Just sayin' Maybe it just because of Dave's extremely gay facial hair. Who wants to understand Dennis Rodman? Tommy is gay, are horribly over-rated as a "star." My wife even doesn't understand what women see in him. She says "He just looks like a total asshole." Kevin Spacey is gay and it's pretty well known in hollywood, and also fairly well known but trying to stay hidden is that Vin Diesel is gay beyond words. I couldn't care less if an Olsen died from an eating disorder. —Logo Lou |

Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at 8:00 AM "Attractive" could mean in terms of a woman's looks, and indeed sex appeal, but not that they want to have sex with them. The same cattiness that woman have with each other. There is a homosexual couple who work in a clothing store down the street from where I work. I work also with mostly women. They always talk to them and get tips on what the best part of their bodies are are, which needs work, what to accent, how to look sexier, and who they think is hotter etc. As Adam has said, "Gays love women... because they want to be them!" —Logo Lou |

Thursday, June 24, 2004 at 2:08 AM Edited Thursday, June 24, 2004 at 2:16 AM A word about GAYDAR: The one culture that holds the trophy for being haughty, petty, gossip mongers is the gay culture. This automatically throws a wrench into the myth of GAYDAR. The way gossip spreads no one can rely on any grapevine. There is concrete evidence, rumor, assumption and speculation being passed off as GAYDAR. Gays love the idea of GAYDAR. It is more of a fantasy power trip than intuitive recognition. Gays get it wrong all of the time. They're too fucked up on their struggle with being gay and all of its lifelong consequences. So, either someone saw "____" celebrity blowing a guy or it is bullshit being passed around as fact. —Adam's Crows |

Thursday, June 24, 2004 at 2:56 AM Edited Thursday, June 24, 2004 at 3:00 AM Balderdash, you silly man. It isn't so difficult for one gay man to sense the presence of another. It's in the all the thousand little signs, the subtleties that one born to the life and long schooled in the lifestyle can just sense. This isn't some "magical" ability unique to us gays; other marginalized, oppressed groups are just as sensitive to their own. Jews can spot other Jews, Trekkies can spot other Trekkies, Republicans can spot other Republicans. And yes, dearie, someone DID see "____" (*cough* Tommy Cruise *cough*) visiting certain select "spas" for a "high colonic". Wink, wink. —Pan Pan |
