Adam's Crows |

Friday, June 18, 2004 at 12:17 AM He said he would be on Kilborn and you could see the bloody forehead and dirty clothes. He had not showered for 16 days prior to that 42 days. He pulled a Detroit Pistons jersey out of the leg of his trowsers through the fly and gave it to Kilborn. He kept touching his slimmy oily hair. What's this about? I don't get the attraction to stinch and scum. —Adam's Crows |

Friday, June 18, 2004 at 12:57 AM All in all, a mediocre guest. He was kind of on a high horse, and talked down to Adam. I felt like he was trying to "chum it up" with Drew because he has an advice show. Whatever. Andrew WK kept acting like he was "enlightened" and had some unique, greater-than-thou, perspective on life—What a poon. I liked that Drew kept effing with him because of his utter scuminess. "But what about the fingernails?" Hah! —ojibberish |

Friday, June 18, 2004 at 8:40 AM I thought he was a great guest. I liked his show a lot better than the one with DAG the night before. I guess if you're going to dislike him because he doesn't shower and has dirty fingernails, that's up to you, and he may not be the smartest person alive, but he did give good advice overall, and seemed to have a lot of fun on the show. I don't think he was talking down to Adam or Drew at all. He just talked a lot, but not so much that it was annoying...if I was ranking shows on LLDB I'd give this one a 4.5/5. —puck71 |

Friday, June 18, 2004 at 10:54 AM I haven't heard the show yet, but I already love Andrew WK and I doubt that my mind will change. First of all, he's good times. His live show is great. Second of all, during an all-day festival which featured many of the same third-rate bands we all know and hate when they're on Loveline, Andrew WK was the kindest and most genuine person of all. The other bands pretend to be all emo-nice-guy blah blah blah but they honestly don't give a shit about their fans. Andrew WK gained a lot of fans that day by being a very good person among all of the phony jerks. —Joy |

Friday, June 18, 2004 at 11:17 AM He's a great guest. Very articulate, insightful, and energetic. And opinionated. Everything you'd want out of a guest on a radio show, basically. I don't care much for his music, but he can come back any time, as far as I'm concerned. —Agent 007 |

Friday, June 18, 2004 at 12:42 PM Some guys are just dirty, I don't like to shower, even though I do. Being a celebrity allows you to revel in your idiosynchrasies more so that you usually would. I saw him live...it was allright, energetic, but it really didn't grab me. It felt too much like fake macho posturing. I missed last nights show, but he seems to act more retarded than he really is in interviews. —piesore |

Saturday, June 19, 2004 at 11:39 AM Yeah I thought that he was a great guest too. He let adam go on some rants and chimed in on a few. He also had some interesting stories to tell. It was a complete 180 of what I was expecting. He should come back more often. —Adam is God |

Saturday, June 19, 2004 at 11:54 AM I agree. Both times Andrew WK was on he seemed smart, funny, and likable. What more do you want in a guest? Well, I guess if you're in the room with him, you'd want him to have showered recently. —Saffeau |

Sunday, June 20, 2004 at 1:56 AM Also, on a slightly cheesier note, just him talking about positive attitude really helped me out. I was in a kinda bad funk, due to girl troubles, and I don't know why, but I really got a lot happier after his little speech. —piesore |

Sunday, June 20, 2004 at 10:29 AM also he last month played a free concert for my brothers school (University of California, Santa Cruz) in litterally a stage 10x15 feet wide in the pit of a campfire ampitheater, with the logs for seats and all that. There were probably 20-30 people there and invited the whole crowd up onto the stage during the last song... After wards he stayed for close to two hours just hanging out and talking to everyone, then they all went to a party together on-campus. My brother's friend opined to him for a good 30 minutes back and forth about greek tragedies and socratic philosophy. He's a really bright guy and it turns out he is a classically trained pianist too. something like 15 years of piano. I didn't hear the show, but i'm srue it was okay. —Tyler |
