Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 9:58 PM Now he had to be one of the most intersting callers in recent memory, and Adam cut him short. And for what? So we can have another 10 minutes of Adam's "big radio voice" or his crude native American caricature? I think Adam Corolla is one of the funniest and wittiest comedians around (usually). ButI really wish he'd yield the floor to Drew from time to time. Sometimes the actual content of the show (that is, the _people_) are far more intersting than Adam's latest experiemental shtick. —sorternok |

Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 11:31 PM Matt was a sad but good call. Despite his tragic history he had come out of it ambitious and accepting the hand dealt to him. He knows what he needs to do and he also wants to help other people. Many times I wish hosts would let the guests run with their story when it is interesting like this. They are so used to needing to reiterate and clarify that they do not see when a guest is actually doing just fine telling their own story. The best of them are guilty of it. Charley Rose recently had Gen Tony Zinni and Tom Clancey as guests for their book. These guys are very eloquent and Charley is one of the best. However he stepped on Zinni's words when he was so compelling. They should have arranged to have Matt as a guest. —Adam's Crows |

Friday, June 18, 2004 at 8:34 AM Chief thundercloud is really not funny at all. C'mon more analogies! more drops! more of what LL was two years ago. —Darkfloyd |

Friday, June 18, 2004 at 8:38 AM Chief Thundercloud isn't funny because that's the name Drew assigned to him. Chief Thunder Bear is the real deal, though. Anyway, I do agree about Matt, though it's not fair to pin it on Adam. Both he and Drew seemed to want to end the call, just because they're going to break. Andrew W.K. seemed to want to get back with Matt after the break, but apparently he was probably off the line. I really only think about 5 more minutes would have done it, but he didn't really get a chance to finish his story. I don't think Adam's to "blame" for that, though. They figured they'd already spent quite a bit of time on him, and it was a break, and they needed to get to more calls. —puck71 |

Friday, June 18, 2004 at 5:13 PM Much as I love that big lunk Adam, it must be admitted that he sure does crave being the constant center of attention. Why, he's every inch the desperate drama queen as the fabulous Pan Pan himself! Because NOTHING, not even a tragically twisted caller like Matt the Meth Guy, could possibly be more interesting than--or be allowed to divert a moment's attention from--the awesomely brilliant and endlessly fascinating Adam Carolla, the Lord God of Radio Comedy. —Pan Pan |
