Monday, June 14, 2004 at 10:19 PM Edited Monday, June 14, 2004 at 10:20 PM A while ago, Silent Virgin posted 'Adam's Mountain Dew Commercial' file on this site, it rocks. Drew hopes to pounce on Adam and chastise him for selling out and providing his voice for a Mountain Dew commercial. It is hilarious how it all goes down, and the file's id3 tag lists it from 1998.. Anyone have the full episode? Just hearing the Mountain Dew discussion tonight spured my memory.. Good times! —Tyler |

Monday, June 14, 2004 at 10:52 PM Did Adam ever talk about his Best Buy ad campaign? I heard that three times a day last Summer, and not while Loveline was on! I'll bet that contributes a lot to his literally a millionaire status. —dr ipod |

Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at 9:14 AM We all know Adam and his ideas about money. He'll do pretty much anything if the price is right, and I would think endorsing a product he doesn't like would be one of the easiest things for him to do. And it is nicely ironic for Adam to get paid big bucks by a company whose product he dislikes and openly ridicules. On a very related note, Mountain Dew must have contacted them about him slamming them all the time. Did you hear last night when Anderson even offered to bleep out Adam saying "nectar of the tards"? He didn't, but the very fact he had to offer to is pretty bizarre. —puck71 |

Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at 2:16 PM Yes, the show was contacted about this a few years ago, since Adam was commonly badmouthing Mountain Dew at the time. —Retta |

Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at 7:04 PM Yeah -- Ironically, Adam's "talking to" from the execs at Pepsi has done nothing but cause him to preface every one of his "nectar of the tards" remarks with the disclaimer, "Y'know, I'm not supposed to say this, but..." I'd have to say, that's one of the things that makes him rank high on my list -- he doesn't puss-out to corporate execs. Nice... —steve |
