Sunday, June 13, 2004 at 8:59 PM 3 40s = 120 ozs. = 10 beers. actually thats not true. Normal beer is something like 4.5% alcohol. A standard 40 oz is something like 5.5 or above (really depends on the brand, Micky's is like 5.7%, Steel Reserve is something like 7%, OE is like 6% or something. In general you can expect a 40 to be at least 1% higher). So you have to factor that into the math. 3 40's = 120 oz x .055 = 6.6 oz of alcohol.
10 beers = 120 oz x .045 = 5.4 oz of alcohol. so 3 40's is really like 12 or 13 beers at the least.
yeah i drink 40's just about every night too.

And the beers you listed were, while not without their charms, relatively high alcohol concentrated beers. Correct me if I'm wrong, but a Mickey's 40 doesn't have any higher alcohol % than a Mickey's 24, does it? Granted, I actually don't know this, but that would be my guess. SUPER FUN BONUS: I have a friend who can take down two Steel Resy 40s in an hour, and keep it down for the entire night. I have tried this several times, with results ranging from heartbreaking failure to out and out embarrassment.
