Sunday, June 6, 2004 at 12:13 PM Sorry for this off topic post but I am in dire need of music. My computer just recently just died and I lost all of my mp3s. I had just bought an iPod but lost the music before I was able to transfer it. Does anyone know the addresses of any good DC++ hubs where I could download music? There used to be a hub on my university's network but it was taken down at the end of the semester. Also other than KazaaLite, does anyone know any good, spy-ware free p2p programs to use? Thanks and sorry again for making an off-topic post. —Marc |

Sunday, June 6, 2004 at 2:25 PM BitTorrent is a good way to go. Just find torrents on places like http://www.suprnova.org And Usenet is good as well... And SoulSeek is the best answer to Kazaa IMO I think its www.slsk.org —dr ipod |

Sunday, June 6, 2004 at 3:15 PM I agree with the above, except for Blubster, because it has spyware (last time I checked). Also, if you want to use the Gnutella and Kazaa networks, I suggest using KCeasy instead of KazaaLite. DC++ and Bit Torrent are better still for full albums though. If you go down the public hub list in DC++ you're bound to find a music oriented hub. Even if you don't, any hub with a few terabytes of files should have a fairly good selection of music. —Mahalo |
