Edited Friday, June 4, 2004 at 7:46 AM Ok, so, yes, Stryker is usually incredibly annoying and, yes Drew IS different without Adam (with Adam, they get to the root of someone's issues but rarely seem to answer the specific question posed, with Stryker, Drew is a bit more superficial (not in a bad way)answering the specifics but not delving as often or relentlessly. The digging method is probably better, but it is nice to hear the specific questions answered occassionally.), but last night's show was good. Everlast was a fan of the show, Stryker is definitely best with musical acts in, and Drew was funny. On his own. Anderson was also on point. Stryker is what he is - a DJ, Adam's a talk show host, basically. Their individual qualities add to that. And just like in a previous thread here that commented on how Adam is better in his element (boxers, Survivor members...), Stryker likes these musicians, is familiar with their work. As, apparently, they are with him since he's a DJ on a big L.A. station. There's a comfortable vibe in the studio. So to all of you effectively boycotting the Adam-less Loveline this week (I was one of them up until yesterday), download that show and see what I mean. —Lou Cypher |

Friday, June 4, 2004 at 9:14 AM I have to agree, Everlast was definitely one of the best guests I've ever heard on Loveline. He contributed a lot to the show, and since he is a regular listener he knew how things were supposed to go. I hope they have him on more often. —Jeremy |

Saturday, June 5, 2004 at 12:33 PM Drew seemed so relaxed, it was refreshing to see. Not that he can't be with Adam, but, you know, Drew is afraid of stepping on Adam cuz Adam may yell at him, them Adam yells at Drew for keeping silent... Even when that tension isn't obvious, you can still sometimes sense it. That show, though, Drew was enjoying being the captain. —Lou Cypher |
