Maybe a dumb question...

But I had to ask. Do you think Adam actually cares about the situations of the callers he and Drew talk to every night? It seems fairly obvious that Drew does, and mostly I think Adam does, but every now and then I catch some serious bitterness in Adam's voice, and I wonder if he's actually just annoyed at all the callers. What do you think?

I think it is the other way around: Once in awhile he cares and most of the time he is annoyed. These are people that remind him of the crappiest experiences of his own life. Drew truly is compassionate. He doesn't have to spend all day in some drug clinic barely making budget. He could be focusing on the cherry projects like lectures, books, TV appearances, sitting at a mic 2hrs a night plugging your activities and furthering your celebrity status. The clinic does nothing for him but drain energy, time yet is gradifying and helpful to people for him.

I believe that Adam rarely cares about the callers. Whenever he talks shit about the callers ("we have the world's dumbest callers", etc...) I think he's telling the truth.

Thats what makes it funny. And the contrast between Drew and Adams care for the callers works great

That's a pretty weak riposte, ipod. And you had nearly an hour to think of one. At last Pan Pan can make me laugh sometimes.
