Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at 10:53 AM I know, for myself, anyway, that so much Loveline has led to me picking up a lot of Adam slang in my everyday life. Frontrunners are probably "How dare you" and "Shhhhocking!" And "good times." Without me realizing it, my friends have associated the phrase "good times" with me. But I figure a lot of people here are probably like that. So what about drops? Sometimes I find myself throwing drops into my talking patterns as slang, also. (I sort of have a voice-mimic habit.) For sure, "Unacceptable!" and the occasional "Bouncy bouncy" have escaped my lips. I think I've already mentioned on this forum how catchy the "Things are sick and twisted" GoF theme was for me. :) And it's probably this forum's fault, actually, that I've started in with the J-Lo "No you di-ent!" Anybody else? —Flatvurm |

Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at 12:13 PM I find myself using Adam-isms all the time. One drop I like to do is the "Liar, liar, whore!" drop. It's great for pissing off women. :D —clodhopper |

Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at 5:33 PM Yeah, I've got the obvious slang like 'goodtimes'/'badtimes', with 'Ssssssssshocking!' running a really close 2nd. In terms of the drops, I notice myself always saying, 'Unacceptable!', and always thinking things like 'You're gay.', or 'Faggot better run.', without actually saying them, because I realize that people who don't listen to the show (i.e.: everyone around me) have no idea what I'm talking about. —steve |

Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at 4:07 PM Hehe, I use all of the Adam phrases in real life. I even find myself imitating Drew when talking to people about birth control and stuff. One great thing to do is get on the phone with somebody, and have a speaker close by. Pull up the flash dropboard, and drop in clips at the appropriate moment during a conversation. I've got huge laughs out of that. —paul1732 |

Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at 7:33 PM I use alot of the same drops everyone else does, but my favorite is a drop by adam that isn't played nearly enough: "Ya Stinkin Whore" Only been punched twice for that one.... And I'm spreading the word on re-cock-ulous to all my friends, love that.... Anyone else say that instead of rediculous ? —illyB |
