Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at 1:06 PM Looking back over the last couple of weeks, there have been some good (albeit lesser-known) guests on the show: Will Arnett, Titus, etc. Which makes me think that I actually prefer a lesser-known guest who will add something to the show, as opposed to a "name" guest. Of course, some big-time guests do add to the show (Manson, Tom Arnold, etc), but usually they're boring. Especially after the novelty of having them on the show wears off (usually by the 1st commercial break). And especially if they're in a band. So what do you think? Big name guests or lesser-known ones? —Agent 007 |

Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at 2:39 PM Manson is one of my all-time favorite guests. He's fascinating. I think I actually prefer the bigger name guests---well, are Rob Schneider and Seth Green considered big names? Bigger than Bert McCracken, anyway! I don't usually like comics or generic bands. I like the offbeat guests like Bill Nye and Tony Hawk. I'm not really answering the question, am I? :) —Joy |

Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at 5:06 PM Eh, it depends on the person. I guess the more humble the guest the better, most celebrities (women, mostly like the models or whatever) don't really know what a syndicated radio show really is and theyre boring and just there for Ace to stare at their boobs. So I'm going lesser name, but still, it depends on the guest. —Darkfloyd |

Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at 7:45 AM Famous, obscure, who cares? All that matters is that they're funny and/or smart. Or, failing that, that they're so obnoxiously stupid and crass that people never stop posting about what an asshole that guest was. Long live Stephen Baldwin! —Khlestakov |

Thursday, March 18, 2004 at 4:53 PM Eh, borderline "big," I guess. He HAS hosted SNL, which in my book makes you a pretty recognizable icon. Plus the whole Roseanne marriage/divorce, the movie w/ Arnold, the new sports show... yeah, he's "big name," but barely. —Agent 007 |

Thursday, March 18, 2004 at 5:43 PM Whenever I see him on the sports talk show thing, I think of the Holocaust call and I have to laugh. I didn't like him when he was married to Rosanne, although he was very funny on her show. I like him now. —Joy |

Thursday, March 18, 2004 at 7:51 PM That's funny Joy -- so do I. It actually amazes me that they don't constantly bring up the Holocaust Call on Best Damn Sports. It feels like every question addressed to Tom Arnold should somehow involve the Holocaust Call. :) —steve |
