Were you really as exasperated with Adam Corolla as you seemed? Dr. Drew Pinsky: Yes Adam is an a-hole. I will be doing a single episode of a show called "Flipped" on MTV this fall. And because I have a great passion for young people, I hope I find my way back to people that addresses your concerns. I know they are still looking for a home for the Loveline tv show.
Baltimore, Md.: Love to listen to Love Line when I get the chance. You are the perfect complement to Adam's zaniness. How did you and Adam get started working together on the show?
Dr. Drew Pinsky: I've been doing radio in LA since 1983. The previous partners were even wilder than Adam. We were looking someone to do the television show and I was aware of Adam's work in LA radio and had a sense that he had what it took to do that job. How wrong I was.

Drew always bashes Adam when he's not around -- especially when he's doing appearances away from "Loveline", but he's done it on-air, too. Listen to Drew's solo "Loveline" show for examples. Some (or maybe most) of it is in jest, but it doesn't always come across that way... Whatever it is, I don't like it :-( —Leif |

Thursday, March 4, 2004 at 12:56 AM I like Adam's theories and inventions and stories and so forth, but he is kind of a blowhard. He's an a-hole to Drew, and it's painful to listen to sometimes. I'm not railing against Adam too much, but Drew had a point when he mentioned that he was unaware of so much pop culture because while Adam was watching movies and listening to The Ides of March, he was in medical school. Give him a break Adam! Sometimes you don't know medical stuff he knows, just like he doesn't know movie or music stuff you do. (Though Drew keeps track of when guests were in, their name, etc admirably) —dotcomse |

Thursday, March 4, 2004 at 1:36 AM If you read Cracked, Drew remarks in the End Notes that he really likes Adam and admires his talent. Although, Adam will probably never read it. In the Fresh Air interview Drew says the two of them "have very different jobs on the show." But, they're friends. Its just a little "tit for tat". Which as much shit as Adam talks about Drew, its a wonder Drew doesn't take it a few steps further. :) —ZT |
