Monday, March 1, 2004 at 4:38 PM What's he all pissed at NASCAR for? I'm not a huge fan, but I appreciate it. I certainly don't loathe it like he apparently does. When he was shittin on the trucks is when I got kinda pissed. —NJC |

Monday, March 1, 2004 at 4:54 PM He hates NASCAR because I do believe he's somewhat a fan of Formula 1 (I remember him sometime ago marvelling about how complicated the dynamics of the engine setup is in Formula 1 and once he even mentioned the name of one of the all-time F1 greats - Jackie Stewart) and any fan of F1 knows how retarded and lame NASCAR racing is. Talk about going in circles for 457 laps. (Homer drop) B-O-R-I-N-G! —j4k3 |

Monday, March 1, 2004 at 5:03 PM Snobbery, pure and simple. There are all kinds and levels of snobbery. Back when I was a construction worker, I recall hearing this debate between the older journeymen and the apprentices about NASCAR. Same thing with mechanics. Most of the gas station mechanics I know are NASCAR fans; but my brother-in-law, who works on custom imports and F1 cars, sneers at those lowly NASCAR Neanderthals. Takes all kinds. Good times, though. —Jacob Creutzfeldt |

Monday, March 1, 2004 at 5:12 PM I beleve it's due to him being sane and not having a mullett. Now I realize I'm sterotyping, but come on. NASCAR is boring as hell. Go Fast, Turn Left. Their official motto outlines how boring they are. —gk128 |

Can't we all just get along? I dream of a day where those who love the antiquated push rod technology that continually orbits an infield of Winnebagos harmonizes with the sort that believe shaving 6 grams off of a piston will result in the ultimate competitive edge as they race through city streets lined with socialists smoking unfiltered Pall Malls. —Magnificent Bastard |

Monday, March 1, 2004 at 9:09 PM Could someone please explain to this poor uninformed soul what the precise difference is between these two schools of thought and why these husky prole types get so worked up about it? Pan Pan feels he should know if he's to expand his horizons...and his choice of sexual partners. Learning a little about the NFL proved a positive boon to my love life. If I can talk fluently and plausibly about cars...who knows what worlds of delight it might open up? I have a feeling that NASCAR types might be just what I'm looking for right now. —Pan Pan |

Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at 7:40 AM It seems like you guys are more than just not interested in NASCAR. You hate it with a passion! Does it threaten your F1 or whatever else you say is "better"? Why is everyone so fired up? I was just asking a question about Adam, but it sounds like you are taking it personal!! —NJC |

Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at 12:37 PM NASCAR cars are pieces of shit using technology from the 1950's. One example is that those shitboxes still use carburetors(hello ever heard of fuel injection). WRC & F1 > NASCAR. —rockollafan |
