Saturday, February 7, 2004 at 1:42 PM Hi there Silent Virgin! This is a super Forum. You've done a fabulous job updating it. I have a question. Do you want us to Logout when we leave the web site? I saw that if I just leave the web site without logging out, when I return, I don't have to log back in; but, I am not sure if that is what you want us to do. Does it matter either way? Thanks. —Angel |

Saturday, February 7, 2004 at 2:22 PM Angel, I am sorry to say this...I will look like a dick but you are so annoying. "No you don't have to sign out." SV made it so you wouldn't have to. It is something called a "benefit" (or good thing). Also your comment on the "Adam on IMDB" thread confused the hell out of me. I kept shaking my head. It may be that I am just easily annoyed. If that is the case then I am sorry. —Marc |

Saturday, February 7, 2004 at 5:06 PM Actually, Marc, if you forget to log out more than three times, you are automatically banned. So it is very important that you log out before wandering off to another site. Sorry, but that's just the way it goes. I thought I'd take this opportunity to announce my "Virgin Club". All registered persons who are virgins will be expected to join. Only "old school", biblical virgins need apply; I want none of this nonsense popular among "Loveline" callers... e.g., "I've never had intercourse, but I've done anal and oral and finger blasting."
As a member of SV's Virgin Club, when you post a message, it will have a special virgin logo next to your name, as well as a Virgo watermark, so people will know you're really a virgin. However, virgins over twenty must seek therapy. They will be sent to a special clinic at Las Encinas in Pasadena (where I have been volunteering for the past year). Dr. Drew has graciously offered to help me with this. If you have any questions, let me know. And as always, your feedback is more than welcome. —Silent Virgin |

Saturday, February 7, 2004 at 7:50 PM What if you're a virgin, but it's not really your choice? Like if some hot girl came up to you and wanted to have sex, you'd jump at the opportunity? But you've never done oral or anal. —Jeremy |

Saturday, February 7, 2004 at 10:01 PM Okay. I hope everyone knows I was joking about logout, automatic banning, and the "Virgin Club" :-) I've had a nice, long, Carolla-style, Saturday evening nap, so I'm in a much healthier place now, mentally speaking.
You do not need to logout -- ever -- if you don't want to. This is what "remember login" is for. If you have your own computer in your home, and nobody else around the house knows about this site, then this is a very sensible thing to do. Just select "remember login", and never logout. That way, you don't even have to remember your own name. (This is exactly how I use this forum.) Now, if you do logout after having checked "remember login", the forum will only remember your login name, but not your password. When you return to the login page, "login" will be filled-in, but "password" will be blank. However, as Mike (not-the-first) pointed out, some browsers fill-in logins and passwords for you anyway, so this feature only helps poor souls who, like me, are using Internet Explorer.
Note that you can also select "remember login" under Settings > Computer, where you can also specify the time zone you're in. (All dates and times in the forum are displayed in local time; unfortunately, you have to specify what "local" means.) —Silent Virgin |

Sunday, February 8, 2004 at 6:24 AM I was anally violated by my grandpa when I was three and it traumatized me so much that to this day I am unable to be physically or emotionally intimate with anyone (I'm 42). Does this count? Can I still join your Virgin Club? —Jacob Creutzfeldt |

Monday, February 9, 2004 at 12:25 AM Angel, I agree with Mike (not-the-first). As a guy, it's best to be charming. It also helps to be handsome. (May I put my hand on somebody's mammary gland?) Jeremy: Maybe someday. Keep trying. —This Charming Man |
