Everyone in my family has the gene except me. It still sucks. My parents and sister, my uncles and cousins are all alcoholics. My best friend and girlfriend -alcoholics. Worse yet- my father's side of the family are a bunch of yammering lunatics always yelling at each other and nosying in each other's business. My sister and father are the same way. I am stopping the lineage not having any kids.

Ozzy Badly Hurt in Crash
Mon Dec 8, 8:25 PM ET

By Sarah Hall

Prince of Fucking Darkness, maybe, but he sure isn't king of the road.

Ozzy Osbourne was seriously injured in an all-terrain vehicle accident while tooling around the grounds of his estate in England Monday.

The rocker suffered a broken collarbone, six broken ribs and a broken vertebra in his neck. The injuries were not considered life-threatening, according to his publicist.

"Ozzy is currently undergoing emergency surgery to lift the collarbone which is believed to be resting on a major artery interrupting blood flow to his arm," publicist Cindy Guagenti said in a written statement Monday evening. "Surgeons are also working to alleviate some bleeding into his lungs."

Osbourne was taking a day off from promoting the United Kingdom release of "Changes"--a duet with daughter Kelly.

An MTV spokesperson said the network was unsure of how the accident would affect production of the third season of The Osbournes, which began about a month ago. The season is scheduled to debut January 13.

News of Osbourne's accident comes just days after he told the Los Angeles Times that he had been overprescribed medication by his doctor, and had been taking as many as 42 anti-psychotic and tranquilizing pills a day.

He was so wiped on out on pills, he said, that he was afraid to go to bed at night for fear that he might not wake up. Sharon Osbourne said the family fired Kipper after Ozzy mumbled and slurred his way through "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" at a Chicago Cubs game this summer.

The excess pill intake may explain Osbourne's often disoriented and bizarre behavior on The Osbournes. (Or not--this is, after all, a guy who bit off a bat's head in front of thousands.)

The state medical board moved to take away Kipper's license after a Los Angeles Times investigation revealed that he illegally prescribed opiates, tranquilizers, amphetamines, antidepressants and other drugs to the Osbournes and other celebrities.

Osbourne, who is currently taking new medication to combat a worsening tremor, has been doing plenty of soul-searching in recent weeks. Last month, he revealed to Britain's Daily Mirror that he was molested as a child by two older schoolboys.

Ozzy should have died 5 years ago. For everyone's sake.

I like Ozzy. I've never been a fan of his music, but he's a very likeable guy. A good example of Adam's rant on ex-hippies. The meanest, most reckless ones who used to ride Harleys and do blow - now they're the most laid-back, loveable old grandfathers out there (like they burned it all out of their systems).

Or how about the fact that the Ozzy kids run wild in the house.. maybe that's another reason Jack has a problem... there's not a parent in that house no matter how hard Sharon tries to Oprah it up
