Sunday, October 12, 2003 at 9:51 PM I thought that was kind of hypocritcal considering all through his book he uses the F word constantly.

Sunday, October 12, 2003 at 9:58 PM Yeah, he did drop the F bomb quite a bit in his book. God, I can't wait to hear some of the stories when his kids get a wee bit older. —JooJooBee |

Sunday, October 12, 2003 at 10:01 PM How does using the f-bomb contradict looking at his daughter's IMs? There's no hypocrisy. —clodhopper |

Sunday, October 12, 2003 at 11:09 PM Dropping the F-bomb in his book??? What are you guys talking about? Maybe it was used as part of real conversation quoted from typical experiences at the hospital but you are making it sound like he was tossing around like Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. It is amazing how people are so quick to make such simplistic characterizations making everything black and white. Just because he used the word doesn't mean anything. —Cracked |

Sunday, October 12, 2003 at 11:55 PM I drop the f-bomb quite a bit (in the car, usually) and my kids have turned out extremely normal and well-adjusted, and they don't even swear. And I monitor my son's IMs because he's allowed to IM with friends from school or camp only, no strangers. I trust him, but I know there are crazy people in the world. And Drew's certainly entitled to swear. —joy |

Monday, October 13, 2003 at 3:50 PM Of course Dr. Drew will/should be monitoring his kid's IM conversations. Think of all the callers he hears everyday who hook up with 32-year-old perverts over the internet. The guy is exposed to so much of that stuff it's amazing he even lets his little girls IM. Drew can swear: he's a grown man, and I'm sure he doesn't swear in front of his kids. —Ogm |

Monday, October 13, 2003 at 6:13 PM Huh. At first I thought that's sort of reaching into his kids' privacy, but then I realised they're like 11. As long as if they learn that having online relationships is retarded, giving out personal information will get you raped, and that old guys that talk to young kids actively online are pyscho's, then they probably won't need this kind of monitoring by the time they're in highschool or something. —ZeitGeist |

Monday, October 13, 2003 at 7:17 PM Drew is doing the right thing. I'd castrate anyone messing with my kids. All of this sexual preoccupation and bombardment from the media has every would-be perv walking around with a boner. —Go Away |
