What I mean is he is more or less contradicting himself since he supports 90% of the things the ACLU fights for. I usually change the station when he starts talking about politics because he either contradicts himself or just doesn't know what he's talking about. —what |

" Absolutely, While the ACLU has done stupid things in the past, like opening legal foors fro the Nazis to march in Illinois, Carolla's diatribe (sp?) was the height of stupidity. He always talks about how dumb callers are becasue they had lousy schooling--- but on occasions like this he far excells any of them. All his historical knowledge seems to come from just watching TV documentaries. Otherwise, I bet he slept and flunked his way through every history class he ever had. It utterly boggles the mind when he goes on rants about how wonderful capitalism is, blantaly unaware that the 19th century proved Adam Smith's hypothesis (sp?) about the invisible-hand-of-capitalism wrong with the development of trusts and cartells (sp) and so forth. Quite simpily, he's jsut forgotten where he came from. Now that he's a multimillionare, he doesn't care about all the masses out there struggling to eek out a living--- or even survive at all. He's made his pile, so everybody else be damned!

Sunday, October 12, 2003 at 11:42 AM And while I think if you pointed out to Adam a lot of things the ACLU does fight for that he would agree with, the pussy label is still warranted for a lot of things that they do. I don't dislike them but I think they're full of shit about 20%-25% of the time fighting for "rights" that don't really exist. And take it in context--he was on an angry rant. Angry people don't think usually anyway. It doesn't detract from a point he has though. (He was ranting based on the point that they thought it was a violation of rights to take DNA samples from prisioners to try and solve other crimes.) —clodhopper |

Sunday, October 12, 2003 at 9:48 PM He was mainly ranting because prisoners in jail according to the ACLU have the right to bear kids like serial killers. Also, I just read Drew's book "Cracked" and in California it is against the law to break into a locked room where a patient is if they are in danger.
