Classic LoveLine episode

Does anybody know where I can get a copy of the classic LoveLine episode with the caller named James who was doing sexual acts with his dog. I haven't heard the best of loveline version so I don't know how edited it is but the original broadcast was probably the funniest one I've ever heard (although some of the Violent J ones come pretty damn close to topping it). The fact that they kept James on hold through out the rest of the show and kept coming back to him during the night was great. Adam was as his best comedically, especially when it came to ripping into the other callers... and even Producer Ann got into the act ^_^ Anyway, if anybody has any ideas where I could get a copy of this, I'd greatly appriciate their help.

I think you meant a goat? ANd producer Ann called him gross? It was with Jimmy Kimmel as the guest. It was also the night the guy called in who left tire marks near Adam's house. I may be confusing episodes though.

The goat guys name was Doug, not James, and it was a goat not a dog, so IRC could very well be talking about a different show; although I don't remember the call at all... and yes, a date or even a month would probably help a lot.

Kevin's right I am talking about a different show... The guy's name was James and it was a dog. This was WAY before Jimmy Kimmel's time... we're talking OLD. I want to say 1999 old and it also became one of the Best of LoveLine. Let me see if I can hunt down some more specific information :)

Okay... apparently the Best of LoveLine version was broadcast on Tuesday March 23, 1999 (which I thought was the ORIGINAL broadcast but I guess it wasn't... no idea when the original was)

They mentioned it at the Teen Choice awards in 1999... and they say it was over a year ago so I guess the original broadcast was in 1998

Sadly... I have never seen an abundance of shows before 2000, and even worse, most everything before 2002 is very low quality. I don't think there is any public resource which would have the show you are looking for; we can only hope that someone out there recorded shows back in the 90's and that they will stumble across this forum and share their collection... On that note, if anyone out there has shows (not already available) from 99 or earlier (or high quality shows from 2000-2002) the community would LOVE to have them... If you have no way to share them then email me (or trig, or NJC) and we can easily figure something out.

I have almost every show from mid 2000 till present on tape....

I have no idea how to get them to the computer, but if i could, i would share them with all of you. Most are edited and complete.

If anyone can tell me a cheap and easy (little computer skills) way to transfer tape to computer, let me know!

illyB, thats a lot of tapes! In order to get them to your computer I would suggest using stereo equipment to play the tapes, and using an audio output of some sort (I use the headphone jack on my reciever) to play the sound directly to the line-in jack on your computer's sound card. Once you have that set-up you can use a program like total recorder to record the input on line-in. The only downfall to getting those tapes onto the computer is the time it would take to replay all of the shows at normal speed so the computer can record them. It may not even be worth your time to go through it since we already have almost all the shows from 2000 to present, its just that there are a few missing and the overal quality is quite low. If you are able to get a good sound quality and want to take the time, I am sure the contribution would be appreciated.
Jay8989, Great to hear that you have a few oldies, thanks for encoding them - I'm sure we all look forward to adding them to our collections... Also, thanks a ton for all you contribute to Trig's FTP and to my efforts - It is greatly appreciated.

I have a Joe Rogan episode from 1998 when he was promoting News Radio (with Phil Hartman). I saved that one because I called in. I'll encode it soon and upload it to one of the sites.
